Remarks
There are numerous positive things embedded in the college.The faculty, infrastructure, Seniors students, campus everything is up to the mark but since nothing can be perfect,there are some negative points in the college is regarding the placement statistics which is not up to the mark and is going down slowly every year.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course of mechanical engineering is a vast course which will be covered in 4 years and each year consists of two semesters.each semester consists of numerous assignments, projects,viva etc and a result in terms of CGPA at each end of the semester is obtained
Placement Experience
Placements in our college is quite decent provide with pretty good package.There our various clubs in the college organised by the student's union which provide numerous internships in MNCs.Currently i not associated with the interships but i am aware of the fact that paid internships are available in our college i.e stipend is provided
College Events
1.National holidays like independence day, republic day, Gandhi jayanti, etc 2.Technical Fest : A massive event is organised by the college in which students bring their talents in the technical field, even from other colleges. 3.Cultural fest :celebrated every year in our college which brings joys and refreshes our mood with cultural programs,creative events, etc 4.Freshers day : A celebration for the sake of the new comers or the 1st year students in the college in order to bring harmony and interaction among every college member 5.Farewell day : celebrated for the final year students of the college for their happy life ahead as they depart from the college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is nominal and it varies with courses.Over it is very feasible and the fee is paid after each semester and an additional fee is paid for the semester exam before hand. The fee is to be paid either in the form of cash or demand draft
Fees and Financial Aid
The college provides a scholarship for the students who are either unpriviledged or belong the TFW category.Further scholarships are also provided for the meritorious students who belong to the so called 'below categories'.
Campus Life
The college organises annual sports days and various extracurricular activities such as music, dance,drawing,coding, robotics, quiz,etc competition. The labs are very well maintained and lab assistants and friendly and helpful.
Alumni/Alumna
The senior students are very friendly and they always interact positively.The are very good mentors for the new comers and always stay ready to help out.The help us understand the protocols of the colleges and various do's and don'ts.The college conducts alumni day for the pass out batches of the college as they are invited to motivate the college going youths through a "reunion".
Admission
I got admission through West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) via co-counselling process, the process starts with registration in the process and filling the desired choices of colleges listed under wbjee counselling.The counselling is followed by 3 official rounds,and also coducts a mop up round when sufficient seats remaines vacant.I got a chance in my respective college during the 3rd round of the counselling process.
Faculty
The college faculty is good and friendly, they are always ready to clear doubts and queries and provide ample of notes that are very valuable regarding our course. The faculty provides us with student account and databases where we can see out performance being analysed.
