Course Curriculum Overview
The course dives deep not only into computer science engineering, but also, other important aspects or topics required to have a successful career. Be it EVS, economics, biology and more. While the subjects might seem boring( some of them actually are) but most of the subjects are quite interesting and applicable in day to day life. There are also various labs related to computer science and basic sciences. The first two internal exams (CA1 &CA2) are generally presentation making or report writing which is pretty easy. The third internal(CA3) is a written exam and not that difficult. The fourth internal (CA4) is an online MCQ-based exam conducted by MAKAUT.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fees for my batch (23-27) was around 6.75L. The fees is not constant for every year, but it ranges between 1.68L to 1.70L. However the total fees for the last batch was around 7.5L. The college doesn't provide any scholarship of its own. However students from west bengal can apply for SVMCM which is accepted by the college
Campus Life
Our college shares it's campus with a different university which means we have tons of fest, events going on almost through out the entire year. However, the fest, YAGVIK is organised by TINT. There are tons of books available in the library and really easy to get access. Our college also provides online subscription of Knimbus, which has access to lots of journal and research paper.
Admission
I applied to several other colleges including, but not limited to, MIT Manipal, KIIT and VIT, Vellore . The only reason i chose this college is because of the ROI. I got rejection from colleges i applied through JEE Mains because of my low rank. TINT takes admission through WBJEE and JEE Mains counselling and it's mandatory to appear in either of the exam. For students residing in WB, the WBJEE is more preferable because of state quota eligibility
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is somewhere around 50:1 which is not that bad if you look from a college perspective. Also, almost all of the faculties are great and really friendly. They are always eager to help you with any help if needed. Our college also provides mentor to first year students who are there to help a student 24*7 , not only with academics related hurdle but also any random thing the student might be facing. Every semester has four internals and a final end sem exam as per MAKAUT rules. The internals are not at all tough. While the final end sem exams can be cleared easily with a little bit of study, but it the level of difficulty and checking pattern depends completely on MAKAUT. The faculties are always there to help whenever needed for a seamless exam preparation
Night Life
There is an amazing cafe right inside our college campus, Melbourne Cafe. It's the most popular hangout spot for students ( especially dates lol). The college also provides a spacious and air conditioned library. The college is right in the heart of Kolkata, and almost all famous spots are close by. Some of those are DLF Park, Aircraft Museum, Eco Park, Coffee House Newtown and more
