Life in NLUO

In LLB course all are laws subject, not like Integrated BALLB course where half is law subject and half is graduation subject until 3rd year. Faculties are good like if any new amendment on new case laws will come they will discuss that in class and exam timing is also good.

Internship commity is present here, Internship committee release application for internship during every semester where you have to submit your CV and all related document after that they will verify and shortlist your CV for internships.

Placement is quite ok in NLU Odisha, mainly company visit the campus during final year of student for placement. Many students secure Pre Placement offer while internship during their penultimate year or last year. I think average package will gone upto 7-8 Lakh per annum.

The Annual fees for 3 Year LL.B. course here in National Law University is nearly Rs 2,60,000(Including Hostel fees). We can pay fees in two parts before starting of every semester. There is no any fees difference for other categories. But for NRI Quota fees was high compared to us. Tution fees for our Course is Rs 1,20,000 per year We are not provides with any scholarship facility till now. And other fees include - Re-Admission Fees Student Welfare Fund Examination Fee Internet/IT Service Fee Electricity charges Sports and Games facilities Moot court/Seminar/Workshops Library fee Estate maintenance

Here in National Law University Odisha, many committees, many research centres are present, and students are important parts of these committees and centres. Social life is okay here. We are having annual fest Kairaan and Annual sports fest Viraaj both was conducted in Even semester.

In hostel single accommodation is also there and double accommodation is also, so when you are in first year mainly you will get double accommodation rooms and when you will go into second year you will get single rooms. Chair, Table, Almirah, Wall book rack you will get in room. Mess food is okay, you will get 4 time meals, menu was different every day.

So I applied for faculty of law Delhi University and I also wrote MHCET examination where I got ILS Pune and after that I qualified for NLU Odisha, but i joined NLU because the exposure and experience you will get here i don't think so you will get in any other college.

The faculty are good here, they are approachable and they have a helping nature, some of the faculties are very well qualified and some new faculty are also here. Earlier we are having mid Sem and end semester exam in one semester but after the new examination policy was introduced, project plus viva is of 30 marks and and end semester is of 70 marks, but this year we got new policy where project plus Viva plus presentation is having 40 marks and and end semester we are having of 60 marks.

Nightlife here is quite good, we are having two canteens which was open whole night and gym is also accessible 24×7 for both boys and girls. Library also open 24×7 Campus in timings was 10:30 PM but there is no restriction for Hostel timings.
