Remarks

The college is quite good in the law sector. The college is having a library with a number of books. Faculties are also helpful and quite good. Hostel facility is available which also a good part for students who are not able to travel daily from their house.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course duration is three years. The syllabus is quite good which covers all the important subject. There are lot of extra events that help in the carrier. The syllabus was also quite good too. The college is affiliated by Berhampur University and strictly follows it rules and guidelines.

Placement Experience

The placement of the college is quite good. After completing the course one can be placed in some good companies or organizations. After the course, you can find a quite good package if you have proper knowledge of the field. Faculties are also helpful and they help students to get placed.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The course fee charged for L.L.B is 21000 per annum for three consecutive years, which is quite feasible. The total fee for the course is Rs.63000. One can also apply for state or central government scholarship.

Campus Life

Extracurricular activities are also focused on, in college so that students can learn many new things here and boost their creativity. Labs are also updated which is also a good part. The library is having no. of books related to the syllabus and also apart from the syllabus.

Hostel Facilities

The college also provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls. The food served in the hostel mess is quite healthy and the rooms are also quite comfortable and spacy. Certain rules are amended on the hostel for the security of students.

Admission

The admission process is similar to other colleges. For L.L.B one should complete graduation with 45% aggregate. The admission process is quite time-saving and friendly. A short interview was taken and forms were filled for admission under the college.

Faculty is very helpful and experienced. They helped us in every field whether it is the study or something else. The also helped us towards our carrier and placement. Faculty was skilled and experienced in their field.

University Law Collehe Bhubaneswar is Indistinct!!

Likes

Campus i beautiful and so are the surroundings of our college.
Utkal University has a very steep admission criteria and therefore not many students can actually get a chance to study here.
Our infrastructure is up to date like even though it's a government college and a government aided university, we still have best of facilities.

Dislikes

There's no auditorium in our university and university should try to build one as that's important.

Placement Experience:

Many corporate houses as legal teans are something that everyone wants and thus we are always in demand. From ITC group to RP Sanjeev Goenka Group and latest entrants were Suzlon and Birla Paper. Also, top tier firms like Bharuch and others also have approached our college lately for placements.

Not that good food. Not that good placements.

Placement Experience:

I plan to pursue LLM after graduating. The highest package has gone to 21 Lakhs and the average is around 3-4 lakhs. Certain companies like hdfc ergo come to campus. But max people don't get very high packages.

Course Curriculum Overview:

BA LLB (Hons) is an integrated course that offers dual degree. The first two years curriculum covers the Humanitites subjects and few law subjects; while the last three years focuses on only the law subject. The curriculum has included all the major legal subjects and thus overall is designed to make the mot of the five years. There are three permanent faculties but many guest faculties will be dealing with several aspects of law. The batch strength is 60 and therefore, each student gets the required attention. The faculties of the college are highly experienced. The permanent facultites have a post doctoral degree in the relevant subject. The teaching method however, is quite traditional. A student may not find the classes interactive. Every semester, the students are evaluated by an internal test, a viva and a semester examination. The internal test and viva carry a weightage of 10 marks each while the semseter carries a weightage of 80 marks. Scoring marks can be a bit difficult.

Remarks:

Academically it's good, but poor infrastructure. No one cares about the infrastructure, since four years we just see the buildings getting painted but no renovation is being done because as we are being said that no proper funding is being provided.

Admission:

I appeared for the Common law entrance test ie CLAT and got qualified. This college takes in students purely on the basis of their clat scores. After the clat results were out I applied for this college and got my name in the merit list and went ahead for the admission procedure.
