- The central library is good . They keep an quiet environment there
- Our Cse HOD is also good . He is a very helpful and respected through out the campus.
Dislikes
- There is no play ground . No environment for physical activity
- Some of the facilities are not good enough for the subject they are in.
Course Curriculum Overview
Some of the curriculums are relevent and most of them are irrelevant . No sign of teaching really coarses based on real world problems. Most of them don't even fit for industry requirements. They are teaching us only the theories .
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fees currently is Rs 697000 and my first semester i had to pay Rs 95000 with gst and in my second semester i had to pay also Rs 95000 with gst . And from 3rd semester it is around Rs 84000. The fact that college is increasing its fees is undeniable. Before the 4 years total was Rs 450000 five years ago and its increasing since then. If someone gets admitted with TFW(tution fee waiver) there are much reliefs in terms of fees is concern. They just have to pay only Rs 10000 per semester. There are many scholarships available but the most popular one is SVMCM that gives Rs 60000 per year based on the cgpa of each year.
Campus Life
you shouldn't keep your expectations too high about fests . The last fest conducted back in 2022. But they conduct freshers every year. And i can tell you for me it's best thing I've experienced in my college life so far. There are so many student-run clubs like rcmsit ( they're mainly for social welfare), coding community like Hackerspace, music club like Sargam and many others..
Admission
I made a mistake while doing counseling of wbjee. My overall rank was around 15k and could easily get into any good college like Netaji subhash or AOT or rciit . But i had no clue that this college is not that good i expected. So always do the counseling process very carefully.
Faculty
College has mixed facilities in terms of there teaching qualities. Some of them are good and some of them are very bad .And in 1st year, there is no department subject and name of the course is BASIC SCIENCE AND HUMANITY. Each semester university conducts 4 CA exams before semester exams.
Night Life
There is nothing called nightlife in this college. College usually closes at 6 pm evening. I'm currently staying at a hostel near this college. There is not many places for hangout even outside of college campus. But you can always consider going to other places nearby like gariahat or park street for chilling out with friends

MSIT itself has separate girls' hostel accommodation with an annual fee of around INR 50,000, including mess (hostel + food) as per official fee summaries. Nearby private hostels/PGs cost about INR 3,900–INR 8,000 per month, depending on sharing, meals, and amenities (Wi-Fi, furnishings).
