Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is indeed good in terms of cutting edge techonologies and are very advanced and makes the students industry ready for jobs and placements. Some teachings are older and is not relevant to current studies that comes in 1st year should be removed. Exams are held semester wise on 6 months basis and difficulty ranging from moderate to difficult
Internships Opportunities
I am currently passing out from 2nd year so those things like Internships and all happens from 3rd year onwards. Projects are given on the basis of streams in 4th year which is industry based and market demanding
Placement Experience
My plans after getting the degree is going for higher studies as the jobs they offer is around 6 to 7 lakhs and 80% students being placed. I want to go higher studies because the job or package they"ll offer won't suffice my efforts for studying for all these years.
Fees and Financial Aid
When I got enrolled in 2023-24 the fees was 625000 for 4 years BTech CSE(AIML)....with years it increasing like our juniors are paying around 7 lakhs. This is for merit and for management quota is 10 lakhs plus Now for TFW candidates whose family income is less than 1.5 lakhs for them the fees are quite less around 10000 for whole course
Campus Life
We have Sargam as the music club, Resilient club as the social service club, Yuva as the cultural club, Megatronix as the technical club, Greenovation as the environemnental club and Artikon as art club and various other departmental clubs. ADVAYA is our annual cultural fest, Vocations is our musical fest, Paridhi is our tech fest and Footprints are freshers welcome.
Admission
I got this college by counselling as per my WBJEE rank. This was the best college I got according to my rank and was very good. Admissions are done generally by MANAGEMENT QUOTA, WBJEE AND JEE MAINS rank the JEE MAINS and MANAGEMENT QUOTA seats consume 20% and rest 80% is WBJEE merit students. If your rank in WBJEE is around 30 thousand....you can get this easily
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is quite good and helps in doubt solving. I personally loved my DAA teacher Soumya Suvra Khan and Computer Organization teacher Lopamudra Dey who unfortunately left for higher studies. I didn't like the BSH faculties and the faculties of Mechanical department as they used to think us as the student of their department and used to pressurize and bully us during lab exams and Viva. There are 4 internal systems exam and 1 end semester exams conducted by MAKAUT....the university we are affiliated with. Those who study well can clear all exams
Night Life
I'm a Day scholar so can't say much about it but yes there is sufficient hostels available for Boys and Girls seperately in college locality as well as flats are available for rent. Famous hangout places are Acropolis Mall and other places are not too far as well. We have a big central library for studying and learning in our college as well
