I have chosen this course because I don't wanted to study science anymore. The curriculum is nice and interesting it gives us an understanding of the society but at the same time it is very much outdated, the knowledge which we are getting has a zero job value. The course curriculum should something that can atleast prepare students for outside job market.

We have IAPC in which we can either go for research or internship and for that NGOs come for hiring interns for their office work and outreach program. Other than that there is a internship fair that is organised by placement cell in which students who want to participate do volunteer.

Generally students of 6th sem go for the placement, and companies like Vipro do visit the college. The average package is around 5.2 lakhs but our department students generally don't go for placement because sociology as a discipline is not in very much demand in the job market. I am thinking of doing LLB after completing my bachelor's degree.

The year wise fees is around 13500, other than that we fill our exam form which cost around 1000 every semester. So, the sum yearly fees is around 15500. There are scolarships for the low income group students and I don't have proper knowledge about that.

We have annual cultural fest known as Rhapsody which is quite popular in our Delhi University circle. And other than that the societies run by the students are quite active and helps in the overall development of the personality of the student given that the student is interested.

I have applied to many good co-ed colleges of Delhi University like Hindu and Venky but was not able to get into those because of my low CUET UG score. And this college is also good but not that good and in relation to my marks this was the best option available to me at that time.

The faculty to student ratio will be around 1:40 in our department I guess. In our department the faculties are quite approachable And we have one exam in one semester and a big internal assessment.

There is no nightlife of college, its a women college so the gate get closed by 6:30 pm and the girls hostel which is there in the college premises have its curfew by 7pm. So there is no nightlife as such but as you are in Delhi and if you are not an hostellite and live in lineant PG then Satya Niketan and Hauz Khas village is definately a hotspot.
