- The co curricular engagements in the college are good.we have 3 fests each year which helps students to get overall developmentare
- The faculty staff here is very much educated ,all have done Ph.D in their respective fields
- Our college provides us with everything like central library open 24*7, sports ground ,theatre etc in the college itself. Also we have a market place in the campus itself
Dislikes
- The disappointing point about the college is the locality. Our college is situated in village area. This we can't have a city life here
- Also boys to girls ration here is quite poor like nearly 1:5
Course Curriculum Overview
With the curriculum our college have adopted very well. Earlier 1st year students like to have only common courses but now as our branch is expanding lot more so to cope up our institution has introduced departmental courses in the 1st year itself. The reason of choosing this department is because of rising of AI and requirements of hardware in the industry. Our curriculum includes labs to get hands on experience with the instrument
Fees and Financial Aid
Here we have semester structure rather than year wise . Fees per semester is 150000 which includes tuition fees(108000) hostel fees(25000 including mess fees) and some other break off i am not aware of it . Tuition fees is completely off for SC,ST students they only have to have hostel charges. Also we have different scholarship including merit based scholarship and Reliance foundation scholarship.
Campus Life
The campus life is overall engaging for students. There are many different clubs in various domain like sports data analytics, coding, dramatics, etc in which students can take part in their interested part. Also we have 3 major fests Shaurya, the sports fest held in mid of january, Kshitij the technical fest held in end of Jan and finally spring fest, the cultural fest of IIT KGP held just in the next week of Kshitij.this gives students a vast experience. Talking about the library we have one central library which have hard copies as well as soft copies of books in various domains including academics , literature, biology, psychology etc.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel provides us with mess food , laundry, washing machine services and other all basic stuff required. For entertainment we have common roomes , library and a music room to jam in. The mess food is quiet pathetic here. I being from Maharashtra don't like the food here much. But no worries canteen helps me to manage with my food requirement. They serve us 4 time meal.
Admission
Actually admission in iits is on the rank we get in the jee advanced exam. So I wanted a circuital branch in top 5 iits for sure so this one was one of my best choice available. Also this branch E&ECE is not available in every iits it's only in roorkee ,delhi, khragpur, hydrabad . Also my jee rank was hampered due to my foolishness during the exam time due to which I wasn't able to get my dream branch n college pair. The admission in iits is conducted by JOSAA .the cutoff for getting in iits is nearly 50% marks in jee advanced exam
Faculty
Faculties here are quite friendly with the students .they are always upto helping students with the academics . One of best faculty in our college is prof. Sharba bandhopadhyay his teaching style includes lots of practical stuff. Some of the faculties are typically boring ones they didn't have to do anything with the students they don't even care that students are getting or not. Talking about exams here we have midsems and endsems exams planned at the beginning of the year. Apart from this professor can conduct class test on their choices . Midsems are quiet easy but endsems are really quite tough.
Night Life
In our hostels we have a gym, two tt tables badminton courts , cricket ground , basketball court and many friends ofc. Also we have night canteens to hangout . Also to hangout we have helipad point , lake , gymkhana, and afterall the whole campus to hangout.there are no such timings in the hostels we can rome anywhere till anytime.
