I like the placements provided by the college.
Some of the labs are well maintained and have proper equipments
Campus area is neat and clean and sorrundings are well maintained.

Some of the Courses are not relevant to my degree

Course Curriculum Overview

Coding is the main course I have preferred as it is the main requirement of cse engineer. 1st year curriculum is not related to do real world problems of coding . We are doing some topics which are related to civil, product design engineering

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 188000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many internship opportunities are provided. To students . Now our senior of 3rd year are on interns . Yet I don't know more about it but the main thing is students get opportunity to apply for interns.

Placement Experience

From 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Infosys , phonepe, apple, microsoft . Highest package is 52 lakhs and the average package is 24 lakhs . I want to go to Switzerland after my degree

Fees and Financial Aid

My fees is 94000 for 1 semester. Yet I have 8 semester the total fees is 77100. I have almost around 1.5 lakhs during first semester including admission fees and councelling fees of jossa and csab, our semester fees is around 94000 . It also provide scholarship to underprivileged students

Campus Life

The infrastructure is not that good as it is 100 years ago builted college . The library is good and I am somewhat satisfied with campus life . Here are many clubs in which you can go accordingly your interest

Hostel Facilities

I am provided with 1 bed , table , chair , book shelf and it is double shared room . Mess quality is very very bad . No taste of anything . Cooks are unskilled and make very bad food which is not able to eat

Hostel Fee: INR 81500 per year

Admission

I got confirmed letter from pec only as I have kept it my top priority in jossa councelling.for admission in my college you have to makebetter jee ranka nd then fill josaa councelling and secure admission in better branches

Faculty

Faculty here is well educated. Almost all the professors have their Phd degree.The faculty to student ratio is less . The faculty do not able to explain concepts to students even they are not interested in doing that.

Night Life

For girls the in time is 9 pm and good facilities are offered in hostels but the mess quality is not that good . Gym and badminton, basketball, cricket , football grounds are also there . No hangout is there in college

The placement at uiet chandgarh is quite decent and steadily improving , especially in core branches . Students become eligile for in campus placements from 7th semester . Some big companies also comes for placement like infosys , wipro ,tcs,accenture , ibm.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is based of the current industry patterns and is really good . There could be areas of improvements in terms of first year subjects but other than that its very good . the frequency of exams is good and sufficient time is given . they are of moderate level depending on the subject teachers

Is pec Chandigarh worth it

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from 6th semester onwards most of the big companies do visit our campus like apple Flipkart Microsoft Google airbus and most of the big companies come in our placement I package for electrical branch in 2025 was 52 lpa and the average median package remained about 13 LPA for2025 the data isn't out yet but typically 72to 75 percent students get placed in my branch my plans after the degree is to get a stable corporate job of 18+lpa

Pec...The best college in chd

Placement Experience:

This college has decently good packages both the average package and median packages as well as almost 80 percent studnets are placed before the 4th year ends...if I talk about my branch the median was 11 lpa and almost 90 students were palced out of 120 in 2024

My review of PEC Chandigarh

Course Curriculum Overview:

For improvement in teaching methods, they can go digital, like using smartboards, or use more practical teaching methods, or maybe just improve the way of teaching simply. Teaching methods here really need upgrades, mostly students here have to rely on youtube when exams come near.

Pec is still worth it

Placement Experience:

The placements have been lowered by 10-20% recently, but they are getting better. You will get a job if you manage cgpa above 7 and are decent with your skills, but then don't dream for 20lpa + jobs, you need to work upon yourself in silence to get 25-50 lpa packages and they do happen in our colleges, highest package in electrical 2024-25 was 52 lpa and in ece cse they had 61 lpa. Companies start coming in 3rd year for internships, only 10% manage to get intern in 3rd year, companies like microsoft, atlassian, flipkart, mercedes, jp morgan etc. they do come. Placement perecentage is like 75-80% in electrical and it is very low in civil (around 40-50%), in cse it is like 90% or even higher. My plan is to get an intern asap. (Maybe in 2nd year theough offcampus)

I applied for Maulana Azad institute of technology Bhopal but I didn't get branch higher than mechanical for my rank so I considered this college this college has great placement records and good legacy so this was a safe option for me and the location of this colleges just perfect for me I was also spectacle about getting admission into NIT Jaipur under chemical branch but I wanted circuital branch and the electrical branch of this college is better than most of the college in the same league so I choose this college for this particular reason I got rejected in maulana Azad institute of technology for my low rank I wanted at least a circle branch so I didn't get admission there basically you give exam JEE mains to be specific and then you get your rank and just a basic process you enroll in juice accounts in counselling you get this college there are other course like be designing so you have to give respective exam for that course...Read More

I applied for NIT KKR electrical, but couldn't make it because of the rank. I applied for other colleges like IIIT Bhopal and Una but didn't choose them because of them being really remote or not at par with PEC. PEC among all my choices seemed best. Pec is still worth it

I chose this college because of the fees and legacy of college, it is more than 100 years old and everyone in the industry knows about it, the fees is low compared to others. the campus is decent 150 acres which is comparatively better than other government colleges (though if u want better campus and can pay high, go for thapar). I applied to thapar, IIITs but at the end chose here. I was rejected from NIT delhi due to rank (college tag is more valuable of NIT). Admission process is only through josaa and csab, only online (after jee mains). And cse at pec is very popular, along with ece....Read More
