Likes

Liked the subjects and the professors and even the classroom
The course had practical experiences with us having visits to BSE and NSE
interactive sessions and practical subjects helped pave the way

Dislikes

Repetitive subjects between semesters making it a bit dull
Not enough Mathematical knowledge was provided

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum was extremely thorough for someone who wants to get into investing and the financial markets in India this is a must-to-do course. I believe it needed more mathematical knowledge integrated into the course as in 6 semesters only 1 semester had maths involved in it.

Internships Opportunities

With all the big companies and your top 5, Like KPMG, Deloitte, etc. available. Internships were easily available with the help of the proffessors and teachers. It was very well managed and open to all

Placement Experience

Placements were top tier. We had companies like Deloitte, KPMG, PWC and all the big names that were available for us to sit for. I had applied to 2 companies and got into one called media.net - an ad tech company

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise I have paid 120,000 rs It's dividied into 6 semesters, with each semester fees being 60,000 Other courses had more or less the same fees Did not apply for any scholarship but you do need at least 85% to be eligible for this course

Campus Life

The campus is fantastic, I believe one of the best in Mumbai. The library is vast, the canteen is even huge and all kinds of cuisines are available. All sports facilities available from, swimming to badminton.

Admission

I had applied to NMIMS for their BMM course however, didn't clear the entrance and thus opted for BFM in Mithibai. BMM included more management and business knowledge that could be used across industries whereas BFM was very limited to financial markets.

Faculty

5:60 was the ratio of proffessors to students. Mandar & Jason sir were starts of the show There weren't any teachers we didn't like as such but we enjoyed the overall experience and the way of teaching of proffessors

Night Life

The nightlife is great as the college is located in the centre and has connectivity towards the south and the north side of Bombay. You can easily reach Bandra the hub of Bombay and even Andheri in just 20 mins away.

Best College For Personal Growth

Placement Experience:

From semester 5, you become eligible for final placement and semester 3 for internship placement. many companies like Nykaa, Myntra, Duetsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, Zomato, Beerbiceps and more have visited. the highest package in history is 38 lakh per annum. The average is 8-9 lakh per annum. Around 70% of students get the college placement. My plan is to start my own business after college. I am although doing internships through college. Already done one in Beerbiceps and one in chorus call.

Placement Experience:

Placements in my college are decent but not very high. students usually become eligible from the final year and few companies visit for roles like accounting assistant, sales, customer service. The average package is usually around Rs.2LPA-Rs.3LPA.

Due to NEP the course has been more developed to the students and teachers also explain the topocs to us very clearly and the thing should be change that the timing of the paper are at morning time which is at 7:30am it should be 10 or 10:30 because this time the students get late to the paper and didnt get time to prep.

Remarks:

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.

Mithibai has great placement opportunity as there are big companies that comes for campus placement like KPMG, DELOITTE, JP MORGAN and EY. So it can give great start to students in corporate world. This is one of the reasons I chose mithibai over other colleges. Also there are so many clubs that I can be a part of to form connections, gather ideas and build leadership skills. I also applied to NMIMS, DU and I got admission there. Reason for not choosing was simple that the opportunities for me were more at Mithibai than any other college and it was a great decision overall. Yes, i have taken admission through management quota as 10% seats ate through that and rest all merit based.
