Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum consisted of subjects like Video editing, photography, event management, and public relations which influenced my decision to choose this course. The BJMC course should equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to enter the media industry as journalists After Every 5 months semester exam takes place. The exams are generally easy to pass without much effort.

Fees and Financial Aid

Rs75-80k yearly fees. You have to pay additional charges for bus around Rs30k/yr for travel. For management quota admission you have to pay around 30-50k. The college doesn't provide any scholarship or financial aid.

Campus Life

3

ZEAL is the annual cultural festival where The college has a big library consisting of variety of books. The college doesn't have any sports activity, though it has extracurricular activity like music, dance. There are various clubs that are run in the college by students.

Admission

The college charges minimal fees as compared to other GGSIPU colleges and it was nearby to my home so I thought of choosing it. I was getting TIPS, tecnia, DME- Noida. I could have easily chosen other college too. The students have to fill bjmc entrance. A student gets a college on the basis of their entrance rank. They have the choice to give 3 preferred colleges they want to get admission.

Faculty

4

1:10 is the faculty-to-student ratio. Gaurav sir is of an eminent professor who teaches fabulously and loved by our batch. There is one more professor Geeta Ma'am who is good but at the same time careless in remembering important information. In once incident she forgots if I had paid her re-appears exam fees. I had to pay her twice & also once the chance arrived for the exam she forgets to tell students that on this day they have exam. As a teacher she should be taking note of the important exam dates and need to inform students timely. There are 4 exams in every semester. The exams are easy and students pass with flying colours. The course curriculum needs to be updated so that students learn practical, job regquired skills which are extremely vital for the mass media students to grasp which would help them further in their jobs.

Night Life

3

The college has a gym but students aren't allowed to use those equipments. The cafeteria closes at 2:45pm while the library closes at 2:30 pm. The college doesn't have any hostel. My famous spot was lawn between the college where you can chat with friends. Canteen was also a good hangout spot.

well I decided to choose the course is because of my friend who is the senior and I was genuinely interested in journalism specially will I think they should go for more practical staff rather than theory because journalism is all about the media the filming and etc the exams are in every 6 months and difficulty level is average

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course intending to enter the field of journalism, but unfortunately, I found the curriculum lacking in term of real-world experience. While the teaching methods were good and the faculty did their best, the core issue laay in the syllabus itself. The curriculum was heavily theory-based, with minimal emphasis on practical training, There were no opportunities for ground reporting, feature writing, or other essential field activities like that were crucial for my career. I feel that the course did not fully equip us with the hands-on experience needed to step confidentely into industry

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course sounds very interesting and covers a large spectrum of topics. There are a total of 60 students in the class of 2024, which is further divided into two sections of 30 students each. The faculty is very well read and the classes are interactive. We have frequent debates and discussions on some very interesting topics. The exams are held semester wise every 4-5 months. The difficulty level is not much when it comes to passing the examinations.

The placement is fine in college. It is not a bulk campus placement like in most of the engineering colleges but it is pretty decent. The one who is smart and confident enough gets it. Companies provide a decent pakage to the ones who get placed.
