Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this college due to placements records and when i joined here, in almost 3months i realzied that they have lied to their placment records , they need a lot of curriculum upgrade , they are teaching 50 years old coruse till now which is irrelevent. The exams are in almost each 2months gap but are moderate in difficulty

Placement Experience

3

Placemnet are not upto that mark . Only service based company arrives at MAIT . sometimes a few product based comany arrives but takes only 5-6 students . Almost most of the sutdnets are placed outside the campus and about 70-80% are placed each year

Fees and Financial Aid

I got admitted in Maharaja agrasen institute of technology , delhi in 2024 batch through ipu counselling in Btech CSE. The enviroment in MAIT is not as good as hyped on social media . Infact the placement record which they mention on their official website are most offcampus placements cracked by students without college help . When i was in 2nd sem , they demanded the fees of 2nd year means 3rd and 4th sem, if you are not willing to pay the fee before the 15th March , they started to harrass students like they were not giving the admit card for exam of 2nd sem . BTW the fees was 186000 in the first year and then 174000 for next 3 years including all the types of fees . There is not management quota fees while admission through management quota . The management qota admission are pure 12th percentage based. No scholarships are offered by college , some scholarships which are offered by delhi govt are there only and there is no ews and obc reservation in this college.

Campus Life

4

There is not annual fest in MAIT , only the annual fest at main campus of ggsipu named Anuoonj happens , which i dont like . The infra is good and are almost new . Clubs and socieites are active during the freshers entry only, Then all of them are busy in their academics and works.

Admission

I chose this college due to good placements records and i was not getting cse at any other delhi's good college like dtu , nust , iiit , nit . so i choose mait . i had applied for all those colleges and honestly speaking, there is a lof of differnece in mait and dtu and other govt colleges , even if it is infra, college locations , placment record , croud quality . I didnot got those colleges as my rank was not upto marks to get cse . I was getting mechanical in DTU but i didnot picked it up and it was my biggest mistake. now i think that i had to pick dtu instead of mait. The admission process is simple and you just need to fill online councelling and just do choice filling .

Faculty

4

The studnet intake is a lot. There are almost 1500 stundents in each batch . The facutlty to studnet ratio is about 1/100. They need a lof of faculty for managing this much students. The faculties are very nice and are very helpful . The teachers are liked are Mr sachin gupta sir who is the dean of R/I in MAIT and the worst teacher is Mr praveen sir , he is just like the most rude teacher. There are almost 2 mid sems , 1 internal and 1 external practical and the final endsem exams . The exams are very easy , just based on PYQs , sometimes the pyq is just given to studnets to solve.

Night Life

3

I dont go for nightouts as i dont like these works. But at the MAIT nothing is there for nightout near the campus . You need to travel atleast 10 km for malls or parks , clubs etc. The overall college life is average as threre is not that academics pressure on you during the course. You can easily score good marks by studying 15 days before the exams. The campus timing is from 7am to 5:30 pm . The gym opens at 5:30 pm when college entry is closed , and the gym is only for hostlers. The hostle is a lot expensive . Around 2.5lakh for single seater ac for an year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is average according to 1st sem in ece 1st sem I got basic electrical electronics workshops applied mathematics applied chemistry and co programing all branches (from Computer Science to Civil) study the same first-year subjects, including Engineering Drawing, Physics, and Chemistry. Students often suggest introducing branch-specific core subjects earlier (in the 1st semester) to build interest and foundational skills sooner. Timing of exam in mid sem is 1.5hours and in end sem is 3 hours

The course srtructure includes core subjects .The course alse includes labs , seminars and project work , which helps in understanding practical applications, although the industry exposure is limited.
