Course Curriculum Overview

5

Since I am preparing for civil services examination and I had chosen political science in my 11 class due to this reason, so pursuing B.a honers political science was best decision of my life as we know that humanities subjects play a significant role in any competitive examination, and this course provided me practical knowledge of working of NGOs since working in ngo is also a part of a course every student of B.a honers political sciences work 3 days in ngo which is good for students development and this also makes us under about how country is run and models principles, polity and international relations , the course structure is easy very less students may have been failed the exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise fees very e.g.first year fees was 11000 and second year fees was 12000 and third year was 12000 And exam fees per sem was 1000 rupees and there was no other charges. Fees was same for all batchmates .

Campus Life

5

My overall campus life realk good since I was introvert child but after getting my admission into this college changed my overall personality , there are so my societies in college e.g. my society that is of political science was Prerna and each course have their own society there are so many competitions like debate poster making, speech , poetry etc and there are games weeks festival and fancy dress competition etc the environment of Coll is full of festival extracurricular activities etc which help students overall development and teachers also encourage students to take parts in this competition and there are seminars regularly for students , career guidance etc and different NGO members come in college to motivate children to do god for others .In last I would say this is the only college where a average student can't feel leftover like and improve themselves in a holistically manner as a I have improved myself.

Admission

When I was in my school I always pray for getton admission in north campus colleges especially Hindu college A dream of every student but in my board exam I got only 87.5 % marks so I couldn't get my name in north campus colleges but in 3 cutoff I got opportunity to take admission in Shyam Lal Coll so I took .but after getting admission I realised that this is really good college and near my home , it was just half an hour distance from my home so it was convenient for me , when we come to admission process it was so easy studen need all documents 10 , 12 marksheet with character certificate and provisional and migration certificate get from school with Coll form that's all, college department verify these documents and students have to pay fees and admission is completed.

Faculty

5

The most good thing about this College is faculty, very good faculty and provide lectures in holistically manner and do not burden students with unnecessary project assignments and with other theoretical paper work and do not merely focus on bookish language or knowledge but rather teach children practical knowledge. In terms of assignments students has been given the work of video making e.g. all students divided into groups each group has different topic and they have to go in different colleges and have to take interviews of teachers on that issue , I think it is really good initiative. Teacher are so good that even you can call them related to any queries and they solve them with very efficiently, faculty is not rude at all .

Night Life

4

Since College do not provide any hostels facilities but the area nearby College is safe and secure and college gate's college around 8Pm after no body can buzz into College since college also provide evening shift , there is Domino's and other small markets near college and good facility of transportation since there is metro close to college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

British classics, Indian writing, postcolonial literature builds a strong foundation in literary analysis, critical thinking, and interpretation, which are useful skills. As for comprehensiveness, the curriculum is quite broad. It covers multiple literary periods, genres, and critical theories over the three years, so you’re not really missing out on the essentials. In that sense, it feels academically complete. But sometimes, it leans more towards breadth over depth you move quickly from one topic to another.

There's a placement cell and placement drives do happen in college but genuinely the package offered is not really considerable. After the 4th semester students are considered to sit in the placement drives though I would say it is not very efficient and fruitful.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course offers many things for students interms of their further academic pursuits or any placement they are looking for. Talking about the areas of improvement and teaching methods there are none. The exams of the respective subject are to happen. They take test 1 , test 2 and there is final exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason why I choose this subject because I like history and want to know more about it . History have the best opportunities to pursue the UPSC , Anthropology, archeology and we can learn more about historical researches . The faculty im the department of history is updated and well versed in the field of history and have adopted student friendly teaching methods which make me suggest this subject in JMC to the students who likes to pursue higher studies in history. The exams are conducted at the end of every semester with moderate difficulty level .
