review of my college nit durgapur

Overall this college us good,infrastructure,faculties are good with huge campus and student friendly staffs,hostel wardens.Durgapur nit has nirf ranking 7 throughout the all nits.And for chemistry department it is in 3rd positioj among all nits in india

The course time is two years.The course structure and curriculum is perfect for a student to do research in future with ease.We have to clear the "NET" that is "NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST" Exam to enter into research line , that is to ged admission in phd.The course structure is fully based on the NET exam Syllebus.

Current no summer internship is available for our chemistry department officially, though there is summer workshops.But one can apply for summer internship under any faculty through director if they have any scholarship which provides stipend for summer internship like "INSPIRE".

Placements of NIT DURGAPUR is good.Every year lots of students getting jobs in popular companies,institutes etc.Our chemistry department also provides nice campusing every year.The package of job of every trade is good.Lots of popular companies comes for campusing through interview.

There are a lots of events occur in NIT DURGAPUR such as "AROHAN", "AVISKAR", "JHANKAR", "ROBOTICS" and the annual fest "RECSTACY". Events are good with great entertainment and lots of informations for science and technology.Reknowned guests and celebs are invited who gives their speech ,performance in the events. In every events,nice foods are available and great entertainments are there.

Fee structure for courses are moderate.Though this is central institute,so fee structure remains in moderate range.For my trade that is "Msc in chemistry" free structure is like this, the overall fee for every semester is 15000 for general and 7500 for reserved catagories. Even there are consession available if anybody apply in academic and scholarship section.

I dont know about this catagory because personally i have inspire scholarship and this scholar ship has the rule that you can not apply any other scholarship with this national scholarship.But i heared that lone facility and scholarships are available.For that one should apply under scholarship section.

Extracurricular activities are good enough.There are music group,dance group,drama group with good teachers.Events occur with this groups.Labs are full of instruments.Specifically our chemistry lab is good which contains two floor of a huge building.Research scholar's labs are present such as instrumentation,organic synthesis,electrochemistry,uv visible spectra labs etc.Good lab is also there for Msc students and intigrated Msc students. Sports are also good.enough sports facilities are there like badminton,football,basketball,running,vollyball,gymnasium For sports and activities,there is "STUDENT ACTIVITY CENTRE"

If i have to rate ,i will give 8/10 to hostel structures and facilities.Hostel facilities and structures are good enough.Campus and hostels are ragging free.Awesome food quality served by mess.and charge is also not too high.There has a variety of food throughout the week with four time fooding.lots of washrooms are there for students.Everything like Medical unit,restaurant,shopping malls are available in stone throwing distance.24x7 ambulance is available here.

Alumni network is good as a read in social network but i don't know much about this catagory.Seniors are also good,helpful and they take care of juniors and they are friendly enough.they help juniors whenever required.

In my college that is "NIT DURGAPUR" exam structure is good enough.Semester system is available here.In every semester there occurs a mid semester exam.which contributes to the total CGPA.The invigilators of exams are good and loyal and even strict enough,who have the responsibility to conduct exams peacefully and carefully.

The admission in Nit durgapur was done by "JAM" entrance exam that is "Joint entrance for admission in Msc".I had rank 690.and i got marks 52.33 , when the cut off marks for general catagory was 32.i got NIT JAMSHEDPUR in my 1st round of counceeling.But after 3rd round i got finally NIT DURGAPUR.

NIT DURGAPUR has 12 faculties right now in "department of chemistry".In which there are four faculties for physical chemistry , four faculties for organic chemistry and four faculties for inorganic chemistry. All faculties are good with their huge ,respective background.And overall behavior of faculties are student friendly.
