Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum is different for every branches from the first year itself. It completely focuses on the core subjects and it's a very good point if you are interested in the branch you are studying. Because you can concentrate completely related to the subjects of the core from 1st year itself. The only con is, there are some subjects which are not usefulmfor you.

Internships Opportunities

5

The internship opportunities varies from branch to branch and also depends on your interests. You have to master a skill you are interested in to get an internship and work on it in the 3rd year. This college mainly focuses on the projects in 3rd and 4th year as project making is the main skill required for an engineer.

Placement Experience

4

This college has amazing placement opportunities for every branches. An average of 94% of students gets placed every year. The average package is around 10 to 14 LPA(Including all branches). Last year, over 190 companies visited for placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

While joining the institute, you have to pay approximately 1,50,000 including tution, hostel, mess and caution fee. The tution fee per sem is nearly 67,000 and hostel, mess fee is 22,000. Other fee you have to pay is nearly 15,000 which includes caution, admission, development and lab fee. If you are from SC/ST or your income is below 1lakh per year, then there is no tution fee. All you have to pay is hostel and mess fee. NSP scholarship is available for students.

Campus Life

5

This college conducts two fests. One is Thathva, which is a technical fest and the other is Ragam, which is a cultural fest. Thathva gives a lot of opportunities for students to present their projects and conduct a lot of technical competitions. Ragam is the biggest cultural fest of south india where a lot of students show their talents and skills. There are a lot of extracurricular activities here which can be done by joining technical and cultural clubs. Every year the college conducts inter department sports competitions and even participates in Inter NIT sports competition.

Hostel Facilities

5

In first year, you are alloted with 3 sharing room. In second and third year you are alloted with 2 sharing room. And finally single sharing room for the final year. There are many messes inside the campus, you can opt any one of them and can change the choice every month as your wish. Meal quality and menu varies from mess to mess but every mess maintains good quality and hygiene.

Admission

I chose this college as it is tier 1 and I achieved a decent branch here (electrical and electronics engineering). Even the connectivity is an advantage for me as I live in Andhra Pradesh. To get admission in this college you have to write JEE mains examination. For safe side you have to score more than 97%ile to get admission in this college. If you are aiming for higher branches like EEE, ECE and CSE, your score should be more than 99%ile.

Faculty

4

Some faculties interact very nicely with the students but some just teach and go. Anyways, you have to learn everything by yourself. The exam scheme here includes mid semester and end semester. The mid semester has half syllabus and end semester consists of full syllabus.

Night Life

4

Night life here is ok for first years because they have curfew timings. You can't go out of the hostels after 10.30pm. But after 1st year, there is no curfew. Gym is a con here because it's not free, we have to pay 1500 rs. for 3 months and there a only few equipments. Library is a best place in the college with good infrastructure and pleasant location. There are many hangout places outside the college like Wayanad, Kochi etc.,.

The campus placements are decent. getting placed in a big company is more about having the technical and soft skills to pass the interviews. the placement training helps us develop soft skills but the technical skills must be developed ourselves.
