Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is relevant to industry standards and i have seen every year professor discards some old topics which gets irrelevant to industry for most courses we have two classes every week for 1.5 hrs, we have quizzes mid sem and end sem examination and in quizzes your best of n-1 grades are considered. Difficulty of courses depends on faculty like nlp course and other advance courses are generally tough to score.

Placement Experience

3

We have approx 55 student in csb and 60% students are placed as of now and placement season is still going on. Highest package offered till now is 60 lpa average package would be around 15-16 lpa.Almost all top companies visit be it Google, Microsoft, Amazon, goldman sachs, mathworks, Adobe, tower research, many international companies such as uniqlo for tokyo Japan , cispa for Germany also visited. Top roles offered was sde, data engineer, data science, consultant, machine learning.

Fees and Financial Aid

For 2025 batch per semester fee was 2 lakh hence fees for overall 4 year of btech will 16 lakh if you are hosteller you will have to pay 34000rs per semester in addition to that Rs.8000 for mess fee per semester.Fee is same for every category be it general, ews, st, sc.But you can enroll for multiple scholarship such as Delhi govt mcm scholarship in which student having nfs card gets 100% fee refund i also got my 4 lakh rs fee back after every year.If parent income is upto 2.5 lpa he/she is eligible for 50% fee refund and 25% fee refund in case parental income is 6 lpa. Apart from this IIIT-DELHI has their own scholarship scheme as well criteria same as Delhi govt except student should maintain atleast 6 cgpa.

Campus Life

3

Our college annual cultural fest is oddysey last year Shankar ehasan loy, krisna came before that salim Sulaiman was main performer our fest is one of the best fest in delhi. For infrastructure of IIITD i can really vouch for it, it's really top class. Labs are equipped with desktop having latest intel powerful chip all equipped with air conditioner room. Classroom have big white along with multiple leds so that if student is sitting far from main board he can still see what professor writing.Mess food quality is good and price is 3350 rs for one month mess. For sports we have indoor badminton court, swimming pool, squash, table tennis and gym is really great i mean there all kinds of machine. Teachers are knowledgeable who comes under top 2-3% professor of country all did their phd from overseas universities having multiple patent granted but some professor lack good teaching methodology inspite of having great knowledge. Course curriculum is updated every professor changes some topic every year which makes course relevant to industry.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel per semester price is Rs.34000 along with Rs.8000 mess fees. We have air conditioner facility during Delhi summer and heater during winter time and geyser as well. Mess food is good and mess menu changes every month. For availing hostel you should be either outside Delhi student or Delhi student with distance greater than 35km.

Admission

I choose this college over dtu, nsit and other delhi colleges as the batch ratio is small which matters a lot during placements season as in our year batch size is 550 approx and dtu computer science and nsut cs alone has more students (approx 600 students) compare to our whole batch size. And in our time placement percentage was 100% and average ctc was 18-19 lpa. For admission here you have to enrolled in jac counseling and admission is based on jee mains score.

Faculty

4

Faculty to student ratio is good but it depends on course as well in some courese its 30:1 in some courses which is common to multiple branch it can go upto 150:1 as well. Gaurav Ahuja, Arjun Ray, Debarka Sengupta are not only have great knowledge but they know how to teach as well. Course curriculum is relevant to industry standards professor have right to change the course structure and curriculum every year which makes it relevant to industry standards.

Interview Experience

4

No the admission is solely based on jee mains score and them you just have to enroll in jac Delhi counselling's and based on that you get admission in dtu, nsit or IIIT-DELHI. You can either register in starting or directly in spot round.

Night Life

3

For stress release i go for gym which is 24*7 open. Library is also open 24 hours 7 days a week. College itself is lush green many people hang around R n D building and college is also connected to metro so we can really go to old Delhi for good food or hauz khaas. Inside college everyone is safe no security breach and camera is every corner of campus even inside hostels floor.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum at DTU is quite relevant and comprehensive. The reason I chose this course was the mix of strong fundamentals in the first year—like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Programming—followed by department-specific core and elective courses that allow some flexibility and specialization. The curriculum gives a solid foundation for both real-world applications and further studies, especially through hands-on projects and lab work. That said, some areas could be improved, like including more industry exposure, internships, and practical case studies to bridge theory and real-world problems. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-terms and end-terms) and include assignments and projects as part of evaluation. While most exams are manageable if you keep up with the coursework, a few subjects can be challenging, and preparation is key to avoid surprises.

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant and comprehensive, with practical modules and industry-focused content that influenced my choice. It effectively bridges academic knowledge with real-world applications. However, adding more case studies and interdisciplinary approaches could enhance learning. Exams are well-timed but could better assess critical thinking. Teaching methods would benefit from integrating more interactive and hands-on sessions.
