Students are eligible for placement at the end of 6th sem companies start coming from 6th sem and many students got placed by 7th sem. Many companies like wipro, Google, Amazon, Facebook and many more big names are there. Almost all the students sitting in placement are placed in different companies and there is a full different faculty team for training and placement

Fees and Financial Aid

Detailed fee structure for my college is I have paid 10000 as a reservation fees for this college and later on to was included in my college fees and if someone is not interested then he will be refunded with the fees. We can pay it semester wise and year wise as prefered by individual. Fees per semester for college is 64150. And that of year it becomes 128300. I have also opted for hostel and there are different hostel and starting from 110000 per year and goes upto 140000. Depending on whether ac rooms, non AC rooms 2 seater , 3 seater or 4 seater

There are different clubs in college with respect to different departments I personally is a member of a club and we organize different events in 3 months and different seminars by inviting guests that can guide students in startup, entrepreneurship, placements, differents skills.

Hostel Facilities

4

Every hostel have a common study room and a gym that is free of cost. Faculty to student is ok like the class is divided into two section and when labs are there both sections are divided and there are different faculty member with lab assistant for different section and if we talk about exams there are two mst in one semester and 1 half yearly. In one single year we have two ptu exams and 4 times monthly exams for well preparation.

If we talk about nightlife of our campus it is quite good students are allowed in campus by 11 at night and there is good court that is opened till 10 and different tuck shops for hostels that are open upto 12. Students can have different things and prices are also genuine.

PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
