- Attendance policy is strict need to maintain 75% attendance if not do so you may detained for that semester
- Some of the faculties are directly hired after M.Tech for same college without having any experience.
- Very minimal interaction with industries during course.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course are industry alligned curriculum. It also ensure student acquire skill relevant in modern industry. Modern labs are help students to encourage to engage in research project. There is need for curriculum update, incorporating modern technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, etc Teaching should me student centric and interactive such as flliped classroom and collaborative projects.
Internships Opportunities
There is very limited internship opportunities avialble with this college only one or two comanies and roles offered under internship( even that wihout stipend) Some example of internship project such as software development which help to build professional networking.
Placement Experience
After 6 semester generally students are able to sit on placement drive. There are seprate course from 2 semester onward to prepare student for placement( Extra charges) During my time as i remember companies like amazon, google, mahindra visited in campus Around 40% student get placed or even lesser after getting the degree my plan is to prepare for UPSC CSE
Fees and Financial Aid
The annual tution fee for B.Tech in electronics and communication engineering is around Rs. 96400. An additional Examination fee was aproximatly Rs. 2500 per semester. Apart from this there are some other charges as well such as study material charges, uniform charges, e.t.c amount in some between Rs.1500 to Rs 2500 per semester. Students belong to reserved categories may be eligible for some scholarship or fee concession
Campus Life
Campus life is more enjoyable as there are various events occur at regular intervals The name of annual techno- cultural festival is PARIVARTAN There are wide range of books and journals avilable in the library I dont participate in sports so very less idea about it
Admission
I choose this college due to some of my seniors suggested me about this and also heard about its placement news. Apart form this i also have and option to go with AKTU, KIT but comparetivly this have low fees structure. Admission process is quite easy in this college you just need to have more then 50 % in 12th standard.
Faculty
There are 85 permanent faculty members. They intake around 250 to 300 students and additional 30 seats for lateral entry for B.Tech( ECE) program. The faculty- to- student ration is aroung 1:20. The name of the faculty i liked more is Paramvir singh he is my Class counselor and Teaches signal processing. There two mid semester examation apart from semester exam. And the difficulty level is moderate maximum students are able to clear it.
Interview Experience
There is not any kind of face and group discussion or interview to get admission. Admission process is very easy you just need to fill form and submit fee There is no other criteria for admission apart form this. If you appeared in JEE mains exam you may get some scholarship
Night Life
Favorite hangout spots is at ashiqi chowk, cafetarias Hostel gym is also very luxurious and you find every instument over there Auditorium is also big and spacious for various activities you perform there outside college there is not such place to hangout but this college is in mohali very near to chandigarh the city beautiful.
