Placement Experience

4

Placements of my college is bit nice. Around more than 200 companies come to the college every year. Around 50+ companies provides packages which starts from more than 10 lacs per year. Companies like microsoft Infosys and amazon hires many students every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fees for my course is 117200 rupees per year. I am a hosteller and it costs 110000 per year. This college provides scholarships to the reserved categories (like Sc or St) of Punjab. There are some extra charges like for the events and fests held in college.

Campus Life

4

Events are held consistently . College organises annual fests and events which gives a great relief from the studies pressure. Every event is enjoyable. Every year sports weeks are celebrated. Sports competitions held and a great prize is given

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel provides gym facilities. It provides wifi and it also provides laundry facilities twice in a week. Mess provides four times meal a day i.e breakfast, lunch, snacks-tea and dinner. Has a tv room and basketball courts etc.

Admission

The admission process was but easier we can apply online . It costs lesser than other colleges which provides similiar average packages. It also provides loan programmes to the middle class students and offer them the education fluently

Faculty

4

It's affiliated to a government University i.e PTU( Punjab technical University). There are two sessional exams held mid sem 1 and mid sem 2. Exams are bit difficult. 20 percent students got failed in the exams. Faculty members are hardworking and educated they owes a good skill of teaching and motivating the students to focus on the studies

Night Life

1

There is no night life in this college. Hostel timings are too harsh hostellers are only allowed till 6.30pm out of the campus and 7.30pm inside the campus . After 7.30pm no female student can cross the hostel gate. But for boys the timings are till 11 pm. We can only enjoy the night life during fests and starnights.

Placement Experience:

As a BE Computer Science student at Chandigarh University, placements are decent but depend a lot on individual skills. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester, and most of the placement process happens in the 7th and 8th semesters. Many companies visit the campus every year like Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some startups as well. There are a good number of offers made, especially from mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys and Cognizant. The highest package claimed by the university goes very high, even above 40 LPA, but those are for a very small number of students. Realistically, the average package for CSE students is around 5 to 7 LPA. Mass recruiters usually offer packages between 3 to 5 LPA. Around 70 to 80 percent of students get placed if they are consistent with coding and preparation. Those who depend only on college studies may find it harder due to high competition. The university also provides training for aptitude, coding tests and interviews which helps in preparation. After completing my degree, my plan is to get placed in a good product based company. At the same time, I am also focusing on improving my coding skills and working on projects so that I can aim for better opportunities or even higher studies if needed.

1) I want to go in construction industry so i chose this field. 2) Currently our college curriculum is updated so its relevant i will say around 70 to 80% . 3) For improvement Faculties should be brought from all over india as professors here are only concentrated from ludhiana itself. and labs are very old it should be upgraded. 5) In a semester there are 2 monthly exams and one end semester exam. 6) As far as difficuly level of exam is concerned it is not much difficult if someone solved PYQ thoroughly.
