Course Curriculum Overview

4

Curriculum carries latest philosophical discourse which is rare in indian universities, as in most of them, they are teaching old out of date stuff. In DU you can see that courses offered keep changing almost every year based on the demand. The curriculum will provide you enough topics for your net exam as well as your phd.

Fees and Financial Aid

Annual fees is INR 7130/- Additionally you have to pay INR 710/- every semester as an examination fees Complete fee waiver can be applied for through Delhi University & All India Post –Graduate Scholarship

Campus Life

3

There are no festivals, clubs or student chapters for masters students in DU, although there are two events every year that is freshers party and a farewell party. We have access to three libraries, first is central library of delhi, secont is arts faculty library that is open 24/7 and third is our philosophy department library where you will find a vast array of books and journals related to our course as well as other extra reading material

Admission

I took admission through CUET-PG and applied for MA Philosophy in three universities, JNU, DU, BHU. I couldn't clear JNUs cut off and BHUs course is too much indian philosphy oriented when i wanted more western philosophical aspects to be taught hence i finally went with DU

Faculty

5

Faculty is amazing and very approachable. You are free to ask your doubts in the middle of the lectures, and if you dont want to do that you can find them in there cabins and they will be very welcoming and hospitable. There are two exams in one semester, internals and finals. Internals carry 30% weightage and finals carry 70% weightage. Curricul is up to date and it is not very difficult to pass the exam

Night Life

3

Library is open all night and you will find people pulling all nighters there. There are many canteens and eating spots that are filled with students chatting and chilling after class. There are late night clubs in Hudson lane which is walkable from north campus colleges if you are into that sort of stuff.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course that I opted for is Political Science and it is very relevant to the exam that I am preparing for. I often take help of the online material they provide. It is often recommended curriculum for UPSC/MPSC/political journalism. However they need to provide teachers or short video lectures do that the course become comprehensive.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very relevant and covers all the history topics comprehensively. The study material is very good as many upsc aspirants and students preparing for competitive exams refer it. Though the curriculum can be improved by limiting and only adding the essential topics in it. There is too much of unnecessary information which makes it difficult to understand at times.
