Remarks

Eveything is perfect here except infrastructure (that is improving) and camteen , toilets. One more thing, this college got politics. We get to see how politicians campaign and conduct elections. For a month, it gets worse.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course curriculum is good in this college. We study different subjects every semester. We almost cover every part of physics in the whole course. Practicals are the part we are even more serious about. We love that.

Internships Opportunities

Yes college provide internships but they are not so many. I heard about Science internship in my first sem. But didn't hear about it from past 1 year. We don't have much exposure to interships. But societys and placement cells keep on providing info about interships but they were not science based. But were interesting.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements and job opportunities are moderate here. We don't get much companies coming to college to hire us. Few companies get listed. Some students are crazy about government jobs, so don't care much.

College Events

5

We have a grand fest in February during fest season. Where all students from all over the University can participate. Moreover, each society and department also conduct a mini fest where we can see some excited activities like treasure hunt, dig dig and many more.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible. On average , it's 12k per year. In Bsc physics, it id 14985 INR per annum for a general category student. It changes according to the reservation. We also have to pay Examination fees that is around 600-1500 per semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, this college offers great scholarships to meritorious students as well as aid to the poor students. In the beginning of year, lots of students fill form for study loan and scholarships. It is a easy process and everyone gets informed about these.

Campus Life

2.5

Extracurricular activities are handled by societys like dance, art, music and all. Labe are good here. Teachers focus on practicals more than theory which helps us understand more and have a good exposure. We got so many sports in college like archery, boxing , weightlifting, kabaddi taekwondo, athletes and many more.

Hostel Facilities

4

We don't have hostels here. Moreover canteen is also average. I will rate 5 out of 10 to infrastructure. We have chances of having girls hostel inside college campus in preceeding year. Toilets are like Government toilets. They stink. Rest of college is awesome.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are helpful here. We get almost all of our study material and advise from seniors only. Library is our second option. However we got second most biggest library of south campus. Seniors are polite and helpful. Crowd is nice here.

Exam Structure

Exam is semester based. Two semester per year. Examination fees are also to be submitted online. Odd semester exams are held in nov-dec while even semester exams are held in apr-may. Results are declared online. Delhi University rules apply.

Admission

First of all I registered on DU website when admissions were open and after that I waited for cutoff lists. When I could see that my percentile is high enough, I visited college and showed my marksheets, registeration papers, character cerit and other required docs to the department head. They filed my request and after being verified, I submitted my fees online on du website. That was it. Really simple

Faculty

5

Faculty of the college is average. Since it is one of the oldest colleges of Delhi University, infrastructure is not so good. But it's improving continuously. Construction of new buildings is in progress.

The students become eligible for placements after second year or even third year. Companies like Google, Deloitte, KPMG, HDFC Bank, Maruti Suzuki, McKinsey, etc visited our college for placements and recieved over 200 placement offers in the latest year 2025. Highest package of Hindu College is 36.5 LPA and the average package is 11.4 LPA. Hindu College has a high placement rate of 95% of eligible students securing a placement here. My plan is to prepare for UPSC or SSC-CGL after my degree.
