I paid 2 lakhs as my college fees I got seat in ews quota Students of nit Jalandhar can get private scholarships like reliance ,ongc,amazon,ffe,nsp,Kvb scholarship etc. Overall the college was extremely good

Campus Life

A wide range and accessibility of books and journals are available in college library There are two types of library available in inside the college One is old library and second one is new library Computers are available in new library

Hostel Facilities

For every student a table and chair will be provided in the hostel Registration process for the hostel and affordable prices The food in the hostel is also good and the workers are also very good and

Admission

The frequency of exams along with the perspective of the curriculum that influenced me to choose the course is mid semester and end semester exams the difficulty level is moderate to tough Overall the college is good

Faculty

Faculties to students ratio will be like ly 1:7 The faculties are very supportive Overall the campus experience is good and I strongly recommend this college All branches have good package The overall average package will be 9lpa

Night Life

There are night canteen available in the college and there is another canteen snackers which is open till 2 am in the night and the night canteen is available till 12 am in the morning and there are some restrictions in timings for the first year students

The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Life at CGC Landran

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak.That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.

Life at NIT Jalandhar : A comprehensive student perspective

I applied to several institutions including NIT Jalandhar, NIT Srinagar and UIET Hoshiarpur And Pec Chandigarh But choose NIT Jalandhar due to its robust placement record well recognised NIT brand and strong industry connections. NIT Jalandhar offers better infrastructure, facility expertise and peer environment compared to other options I had while I got confirmed admissions from uiet Hoshiarpur and nit Jalandhar my preference for a national level campus experience and comprehensive curriculum lead me here. My JEE main rank mit nit Jalandhar's cutoff whereas I couldn't qualify for top iits due to higher cut off the admission process is straightforward students must clear JEE main participate in Jossa counselling and meet annual cut offs .The eligibility is 75% in class 12th And a valid JEE main score. Atharv ki dastan nit ki kahani

I got 28102 rank in jee mains and 24576 rank in jee advanced My primary goal was to get into any iit but I can't get due to my rank if I would have got any iit o would have chosen it over In josaa counselling I got iiit bhopal cse which was quite a good option because bhopal is not so distant from home and also has good placement but it has many problems like no permanent campus and hostels etc and very high fees which I can't afford So in next round I got nit jalandhar ice over it because it is a cirtcutal branch enough options in tech and core both morover it comes with a nit tag and less fees and I want clg in north...Read More
