Course Curriculum Overview

5

Actually I want to take btech in cse but it's seat get full so I opt for btech in electronics and communication which is also good and very old degree it's give us the learning of both cse and electronics my degree for me is very good and there ciriculum is also good and exam timing are also good they give us gap for preperation and also give us holidays before and after exam so overall experience is very good.

Placement Experience

3

The placement of our college is good but its lack to bring big names but overall it's 3 out of 5 as it's basically focus on bringing software companies but our stream is of electronics so we donot have that much knowledge about coding so we lack to get placed this is the only disadvantage of the placement cell here

Fees and Financial Aid

My total fees for one year is approx 140000 in which it includes 2 semester and it increase by 5 to 10 percent every year in which first sem fees is approx 80000 and second sem fees is approx 60000 and I also ppt for hostel so my fees for 1 yr hostel is 20000 and the diet is on our own how much we eat we have to pay at month end according to the diet rate which is 37 ruppes per diet . And this sem 1 fees breakup is as follows Tution fees - 53855 Funds -18740 Other fund -3855 Exam fees- 3900 which is total 80000 And second sem fees breakup is as follows. Tution fees - 31265 Funds -18740 Other fund-4495 Exam fees -2400 Amenities fees-900 Misc. Fees - 2200 Which is total 60000 Yes our university is a government University therefore it's give scholarship for general and sc st classes based on there family income and marks

Campus Life

5

My overall experience is very very good as there is too much greenery everywhere with good air quality and also bird chirping everywhere sun light everywhere and also full of cleanliness and as it is a government University so various fest happen here like jonal youth fest, inter jonal youth fest, jashan ,departmental fest so my journey is full of enjoy and enjoy.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel is facility is not thatuch great as the room are small the mess food quality is average also the maintence of the college is also not that good, ther is lack of cleanliness in bathrooms and water coller and floors are alwaysessed up and day after another day there is one pr more issue get arrise .

Admission

Firstly i applied for daviet jalandher in the field of btech with Ai and Ml but that a private college not university and also it came under ptu which is also not good and my mentors also suggest me to always take this college as backup as my main goal is take admission in the gndu as it is a government University and my most of the mentors and cousins are passed out from here and are now successful in there life .

Faculty

5

The faculty to student ration is 30:60 yeah the university has a mix type of faculty member the experience the mediator and the fresher all our good mentors and they teach us very well and they also provide notes but it's the student responsibilty to attend the class regularly.

Night Life

5

There are various hangout sports in campus like canteens , there is big fountail at the entry of our campus where all student gather in the evening and there we do mehfil song song and play games then it's auditorium where every day some play pr act is going on then the sports ground then the gym then the canteens then the hostel there are many places.

Other Applied Colleges

Daviet Jalanthar | Btech in AI and Ml

Because it's a private college nd it's degree donot matters much in from of GNDU,Amritsar

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Companies come for roles like software trainee, analyst, QA, support engineering and web development, so there’s a good spread of entry-level roles.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

In 3rd semester a student is eligible for campus placement but it is all upto to students that they have to maintain a good cgpa and skills for interviews. In Chitkara university a good number of companies visited like Microsoft, google and they provide 100+ offerletters. 85-90 % students get placed in Chitkara university. After getting degree I firstly join to the company .

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak. That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
