Course Curriculum Overview

3

I don't like engineering physics as I weak in that and I don't think it's required if want your career in coding maths and coding is enough and hackathon for first year students only are like problem solving skills improvement type which a good strategy as in coding main thing is problem solving skills

Internships Opportunities

5

Ad I am I in first year as much senior tell me there is team in c2 block which takes companions to the college if you are capable and good cgpa person you will get campus placement easily but if less cgpa it will cost you trouble

Placement Experience

4

As I talk to senior I got to know things like this if you want campus placement there are lot of companies and their vacancy but you should have potential and good cgpa for that according to senior and as I was in evening class held my placed senior whose joining is from January 2026 the had got good package like 40lpa

Fees and Financial Aid

Course fees is of 11.73 per year and as I have got 40% of scholarship from its exam named cucet and I think you can get scholarship easily of minimum 10 to 15% as it is online exam conducted with the help of ai. Till now it's good experience for me in college

Campus Life

4

Infrastructure is good as it's ranking is maintained by that only and guards are strict no cards vape and alcohol aloud in univercity no roming without id and many more things overall my experience is good as I am not in top college that I will get perfect experience ????

Admission

There just 2 or 3 reason they are like I want fun and explore that if I capable in another area as sports or not. Second is according to me this was good college amoung all the college near Chandigarh after punjab University that I don't get and last reason is I have some friends already in cu

Faculty

4

So as of faculty there are some facilities that are like this if you attend thier lecture you don't need to study at home just a revision is enough and they are friendly also I don't know as it first year that's why it's so or not but some teacher will make you hate that how silly a teacher can be as per my experience

Night Life

4

Night life can not be described by me as I am day scholar but as much I had listen girls are not allowed to rome at night boys are not allowed but boys usually go out their is strict security near girls hostel for their safety for some it is good but for another it is bad

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Companies come for roles like software trainee, analyst, QA, support engineering and web development, so there’s a good spread of entry-level roles.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

The placement of our college is good but its lack to bring big names but overall it's 3 out of 5 as it's basically focus on bringing software companies but our stream is of electronics so we donot have that much knowledge about coding so we lack to get placed this is the only disadvantage of the placement cell here

Placement Experience:

In 3rd semester a student is eligible for campus placement but it is all upto to students that they have to maintain a good cgpa and skills for interviews. In Chitkara university a good number of companies visited like Microsoft, google and they provide 100+ offerletters. 85-90 % students get placed in Chitkara university. After getting degree I firstly join to the company .

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak. That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
