Amritsar Group of College, Amritsar, popularly known as AGC Amritsar, is an autonomous institute established in 2002 is approved by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and accredited by NAAC with grade A.

AGC Amritsar offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including B.Tech and M.Tech programs. The B.Tech programs in five specializations, is the institute’s flagship course. For B.Tech program, admission will be based on the merit in the qualifying exam. B.Tech fees for 1st year are approximately INR 1 Lakh, while for the M.Tech program, the fees is INR 1 Lakh per annum.

AGC Amritsar Placement reports 2025 have not been released yet. AGC Amritsar Campus

Amritsar Group of Colleges is located in Amritsar, Punjab, Amritsar Jalandhar Highlway (NH-3), near Manawala. The campus is situated approximately 14 km from Amritsar Junction Railway Station and about 16 km from Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport. AGC have modern campus infrastructure, smart classrooms, well equipped laboratories, a central library, computer centers etc.

As per students review teachers in AGC Amritsar are very nice, and each one has a unique and interesting way of teaching that makes learning fun and college cafeteria is also good because it offers a variety of healthy and tasty food. College campus is beautiful, full of greenery, with a lovely park and a big playground. However, the college does not organize many trips or cultural events, which is disappointing. One major issue is that they charge very high fines, and students from poor families find it hard to afford them. The college doesn't give much help to such students.

Likes

College infrastructure is very decent and lush with greenery
Well experienced faculty and very supportive
Many sports facilities are available like cricket, football, volleyball, badminton

College campus size is not that much biz
Mess food quality is average and not upto the mark
Internship opportunities are very limited for students

Student view on course curriculum and exams

Computet science students have to study the core subjects of computer language, one can easily get placed in it sector if they have studied well. Every semester college conducts 2 mid sem exams and 1 semester exam.

Top companies providing internship

Many big companies also visit the college for placement like tcs, wipro, cognizant, etc. Also internship opportunities available for students but many students have to do internship at their own. Projects are given in every semester end

Top company recruiting from the campus and average package

After completing 6th semester students are eligible for placement. Average package for btech cse is 3.5 lpa and percentage of the students placed last year was 70% . Many companies do visit for placement like tcs, wipro and many local companies as well

Total course fees and provided scholarship

Total course fee is 666000 including hostels fee and mess fee. There is also scholarship opportunities only for sc/st students who are local of punjab. There is also bus facility available for students and faculty both which is free of cost.

College fest and various activities

Every year freshers party are organised for only freshers and also prayaas is organized which is a cultural event. Libray is very decent and quantity of books available are pretty much good. Extra activities like sports are also available such as cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, badminton and kabaddi.

Hostel facilities provided by the college

4 students are alloted in Each hostel room . There are 3 times of meal provided to students of average quality. Hostels are very affordable like we have to pay 70k per year which is not much expensive compared to other colleges

Skilled and helpful faculty in the college

The student faculty ratio is 20:1. Most of the faculty are well experience and very supportive. Teachers clears every student's doubt by providing extra classes. Teachers also provide study materials like online pdfs.

Admission process of the college

Students can take admission direct. Eligibility criteria for btech cse is 12th pass with science stream with minimum 45% . Semester exams is very moderate and students can pass it if he/she have attended lectures regularly

The reason behind to choose this college is that COVID 19 were going on the 2020 and i was no other option for DRCC loans but the college which is suggest by the area educational agents I was not that much data regarding college and same time i was not want to lose my 1 years so that why i choose by fast Í did not get rejection form any college but i was late to apply the NCHMCT jee form for IHM so that's why it was a reason and some financial condition so required drcc loans Admission process is simple just you have to pay sem fees and you get admission no any exams required

Admission:

Personally I didn't want to admit in this college but the colleges I wanted to go was far away from my home ,I was not able to go college and come home daily and moreover I don't like to live in hostel and PGs .So I went to this college because it was near to our home and it provides transport facility too .. after admit here , I came to know that , this college is good too

Admission:

I had applied in lovely professional University but it was far from my home thats why i didn't go in that college . So in this college there was also the facilities of busses which attracts my parents and they take my admission in his college . Process for admission in my college was very simple . It will be little hard for those who will take admission on scholarship bases . Like they have to approve manny documents etc .

I choose this college because its placement ratio is quite more rather than other college . They provide or taking test monthly so the student do not have worry about studies in the end of the year. I only applied in this college because my cousins are already graduated from this college. Admission process is very easy not an entering tests conducted .An aptitude test is conducting for scholarships for those who scored more than 90% in 12th.

college environment is very neutral and positive .especially for younger ones
College focus on self development, self exploration and many other co-caricullar activiters.

Dislikes

infrastructure is good but there is a bit of need to make it interactfull and explorefull.
college location is out of main city.and located across the highway which make it less productive .
campus area is good but shorter in size which make departments smaller and higher.

Admission:

i choose this college over other college because its environment, quality of education and reliability.many colleges in my area are not fillfiling my desire and specifications but only this college can make it possible.i also thik for gurunanak f=dev university but some family issue i choose amritsar group of college.

Yes, you can get admission in B.Sc. Radiology & Imaging Technology at Amritsar Group of Colleges (AGC) in 2025. AGC’s website confirms that admissions for this course are open. You need to pass 10+2 in the medical stream with at least 50% aggregate and 55% in Physics, Chemistry & Biology. AGC uses its own entrance exam called AGC NEST, through which you can also avail scholarships up to INR 1.5 lakh.
