Course Curriculum Overview

5

highly relevant and dynamic system so it is very updated...but the books are still kinda old but its okay as the du-sol notes help out and are fairly newer. The problem is that some teachers are VERY bad (2-3) but the rest 9-10 are great in the faculty.

Internships Opportunities

5

every kind not gonna lie.....and mostly "jacks" of all trades are preffered so thats that and you mainly learn newer skills every internship.....most of them are paid and they pay around 10000-20000 rupees

Placement Experience

3

for campus placement is eligible for 4th and 3rd years ONLY but you can land an internship in the 1st sem only...not that hard, just catch the placement drives. 30-40 percent are able to secure an internship my plans are to do masters abroad and do research

Fees and Financial Aid

the fees isnt perfectly fixed but i pay around 14-15000 rupees and 1000-2000 every sem as exam fees,no lab fees, and no other fees till now....the societies ask for money when there is an event but thats fair. my roomie is an ST and he has no real discount and only ews student have lesser fees most scholarships arent very rewarding due to low pay but toppers of the college get around 2000-3000 rupees in every course

Campus Life

3

its....like a 6/10 in this matter...not much sports going on but alot of society events and stuff.....the annual event is shit but other than that...its alright. tech wise.....very old school.and there are many student led societies...matter of fact, i am opening one so if theres any future psych student.....hit me up.

Admission

first off, delhi univeersity ka stamp. second, this is the best college for males in du third, my school teacher advised me fourth, other good colleges are either jmi, bhu or pvt colleges which are expensive as shit.

Faculty

4

f/s ratio is around 1:14 abhinav sir, grace mam and chao sir are very rigorous and great teachers....abhinav sir is very supportive shyodhan sir and satyendra kumar sir are very biased and lazy there is an end sem exam and a class test per course per semester. the courses are easy as hell but beware for courses like cognitive, dopt and inferential stats.

Night Life

3

bad nightlife, no hostel in a 2.5 km radius, crimeful area which is kinda dirty but it is explainable due to railway station nearby. there are good places to eat and we are close to places like ajmeri gate, jama masjid, lal quila and chawri bazar.

Other Applied Colleges

Banaras Hindu University - [BHU] | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Psychology)

SRCC has one of the best campuses and our basketball court is so famous that many movies too have been promoted and shot there. Our campus is big too and our auditorium is such that many top personalities have come and spoken there. Even leaders like Barrack Obama too had an interaction with SRCC students in an open air event.

Campus placements are available for all semesters but the offers are more the students in third year. The offers came form many reputed companies like Deloitte, EY, NSDC and more. The highest packages offered were 24 LPA. Almost 75 to 80 percent students got the campus placement. I did not sit for the placement as I was beginning my preparation for UPSC.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For psychology everything is good, the course the topics everything is very real world applications based. However there is less scope for it in india but in abroad one can do well. I really like learning about mental disorders, they open a new world to me and a better understanding of the people with disabilities. For Areas of improvement all i can suggest is giving lesser readings, since there is a lot of readings to cover it becomes a headache for some students. Also there shoulf be more practical based subjects rather thsn just theory ones.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum I took is okay considering the low placement percentage from the college's side which is I would say sometimes bad and good at the same time as the students can find their own way around such things. Faculty just complete the topics. we have to study ourselves.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of my college is very active. They hold internships round the year and provide reliable placement at the end of last year. Placement mainly depends upon per student skill rather than the course variability and considering most of the humanities courses are less employable if taken only on the basis of course. However skills are the main deciding factor
