Likes
- For those who are a fan of Bollywood films should know that a lot of films and Punjabi music videos have been shot at our beautiful campus.
- Students can learn a lot of things here and once such is garnering interest in politics as before every election the debate society conducts a well planned debate on elections.
- No uniform system here as students are free to wear whatever they even and no body questions them even if they walk in sleepers to the college.
Dislikes
- Too strict as without an i-card even if the guard knows you, won't let you enter the campus.
Course Curriculum Overview
Well being a biology student and having a deep interest in Animal husbandry this was the course that I know will help me have all that knowledge. The area of improvement that I might suggest would be we have tol many electives and that confused actually. I would rather want to make more as mandatory subjects rather than giving the option to elect two from electives apart from 5 mandatory subjects.
Internships Opportunities
Most professors of DU needs interns and this where our department has had given them the best option. Most of our department students have an unpaid internship but we are provided remote and hybrid internships as we are given the research topics and materials and working on that is one of the best learnings we can do during the vacations.
Placement Experience
In terms of companies there are plenty to name but most for Economics and others departments as our department has nothing to do with the corporate world. It's more of a research thing where we have to do our research or if we are knowledgeable enough the job of teacher or professor beckons for us.
Fees and Financial Aid
Hindu College offers the most wide range of courses and Zoology being one of them is offered here. The fees for the same is 27410 a year and science stream have various scholarships. One such scholarship program is Saroj Bala Malik Scholarship as students who does well in 1st and 2nd year gets a straight 15000 scholarship in 3rd year.
Campus Life
Campus is big and right opposite to us is one of our biggest rivals in the the ST. Stephens College. So a rivalry and campus exchange programs makea our college life really fun. Facilities here are more than one can dream about as what one needs. A canteen that serves good and tasty food at an affordable price. We have two such canteens. Some sports facilities so that we can get our inner kid get going, we have 10+ sports facilities. To have some fun, we wants fests and activities and there we have one of the best fests of DU in Mecca.
Admission
Hailing from Rajasthan and coming to Delhi, i don't think a better bet than Hindus college ever exists. So, Hindu was the choice I made as I wanted to study at one not just best college of DU but best in the country tol for Zoology. A very smooth procedure as CUET aspirants have to give the entrance and it's results decide the fate. So my fate to the Hindu college was also based upon that and I am happy to be finally a part of the Hindu College family.
Faculty
A great deal of curiosity that students go through in their initial years or initial semesters during a college life are dealt so well by our faculties. Our professor Richa whom we all call a research scholar too has all the answers in the world and the baton of who is my favourite faculty or whom I like the most goes to her hands down.
Night Life
Lutyens to Rail Museum all are close to North Campus but these days hangouts mostly happen at the cafes. So Wooden Box Cafe is one where one will find maximum students of entire North Campus. Cafe Tree 420 of St Stephens is another as it's difficult to name just a few and we chip and change the cafes as soon as we get bored of one.
