Remarks

Positive- it is situated in such a wonderful place that one will love its surrounding.also it is ragging free institute. Its not situated in village like area. Negative- 4th year students dont attend college. and college doesnt do anything about it

Course Curriculum Overview

There are many engineering branches to choose from, electrical, civil,CSE,IT and ECE. courses are taught as per MAKAUT guidelines. MAKAUT is a university under which our college is affiliated. There are two internals exam between each semester and a final exam or semester exam at the end of each semester. There is also a mid sem exam of practical labs.

Placement Experience

Presently i m in 4th sem and the placements starts in the 7th semester. Many companies like McAfee, Byju, Microsoft, Bosch, TCS and many others companies visits our college and gives jobs to students who do well. These were the name of big companies but many small companies also visits College and provide jobs to students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is feasible and will cost you around 4lacs to 4.10 lacs. For all four years of Engineering. If one's family's income is very less then one can get a fee wavier under TFW scheme, under which fee is decreased upto nearly 75%. But to avail this scheme, you need to fill up west bengal entrance exam and select TFW when you fill up form.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship is named Kanyashree (only for girls.). College doesnt provide any loan facilities to its students but a student can take education loan from nearest bank to avail its education. One can always check west bengal scholarships for more further details(only for sc, st and obc )

Campus Life

There is a gym, basketball ground, volley ball ground, badminton ground ,cricket ground. All sports are played and there are tournaments regarding this. Chess, table tennis, are also famous in our college. Labs have good equipment,which actually works! Most colleges labs equipment are not up to date but not here.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a anuual meet of alumuni and it is celebrated as an event, last year alumuni came who graduated in 2003. Its an awesome experience which connects all people. They are very helpful,as they guide us through many diffuculties,

Admission

I was directly admitted in the college. One who wants admission in Siliguri institute of technology must carry 10&12 results, TC certificate ,migration certificate and basic id cards (all xerox ,as original will be not taken by college). Total fees of the college is 4 lacs.(for all four years) At time of admission,i was asked to submit 84500 rupees,

Faculty

Facuties are well educated and are chosen by a team of HOD's(as far as i know, because i have asked one faculty about the same) As i m doing electrical engineering in the college, The faculties of electrical engineering are so good that none of the faculties shows any attitude towards students. Lab teachers are little rude.

Supportive Faculty - The professors are highly qualified, approachable and always willing to help students
Free wifi support - There are free wifi support for both student and faculty
Fee Structure - It is very affordable and low compared to other colleges in the region

Dislikes

Placement support is below average, and most studnets have to apply for off campus jobs independently, which is really pathetic in the era of ai where getting a job as a fresher is so difficult
There is no dedicated support or placment cell initiative to help studnets land meaningful summer internships or any kind of internships

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th semester. For placement drives, we have to visit the main campus, Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL). Since students from other Techno India campuses and branches also participate, the competition is extremely high. In the 2025–2026 academic year, fewer companies visited. Only two companies, Dronahost and WishCare, visited our specific campus directly. The remaining drives—mostly service-based companies like TCS and EY, along with a few startups—were conducted at the main campus. The remaining drives mostly service based companies like TCS, EY etc and quite a few startups has visited to main campus. The package they offered mostly in between 3.5lpa - 6 lpa. Furthermore the selection process of those startups is quite rigorous often consisting of upto 5 rounds of interview, two technical rounds with two technical interviews, and HR round My plans after getting the degree is either pursue an MBA or preparing for govt jobs

The everyday journey

Likes

I liked the campus . Their people and faculties are too great , they are also helpfull
The other thing i liked here is the play ground where students play with full of their energy and many game events are organised ocationally
The other thing i liked is the library where everyone use to study silently with poking others

Dislikes

Bad benches , like benches are too small to be fitted in our class I
In our department ac doesn’t work properly

Nothing specific just the campus attracted me Curriculum is preparing me for the real world approach and its doing good enough the academic pursuits is good Teachers should teach in a good way so that every student should understand Frequently the timing of exam is 3 hrs but sometimes it takes 1 hrs

I like my class infustructure and lifts for men and woman

Its our lovely college TIU

Likes

The faculty are well taught and the campus is very beautiful . The buildings are like newly bulid . and the campus is very clean.
In our branch the boys and girls ratio is almost 16:11.
The senior behave like a friend and they help us a lot and they also very supportive.

Dislikes

The college campus is too small compare to other colleges.
The college classes are not regularly held and the attendance system is not very good.
The classes are very boing and sometime it feels like aa school and the labs are not held timely.

Placement Experience:

our college average package is 600000 per Anum and highest package is 1800000 per Anum according to recent data. and 80% of student got placed . And wipro , windows, tcs , siemens , tata like companies come to our college for placement. Core students are also got placed but many of them goes for hihger studies.

My experience about techno

Likes

Ragging free campus. Strict action are taken against those who found guilty.
Classrooms are well equipped and are spacious.
There are many fun events that happen in the college

Dislikes

The campus area is too small. The library is not good
The societies are fully controlled by students so huge partiality goes on.
Some of the teachers are mean and are not good.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards , students become eligible for internships and stepping in 4th yr , students get eligible for campus placement. Techno provides decent campus placements according to your marks. Good marks also with skills get you better salary. Minimum 7.5 cgpa is mandatory to have you sit for campus placements. The lowest package is 3.4 LPA and highest vary but students also get 14LPA easily. Wipro, tcs ,cap ,gemini, amazon , ibm etc.

The College Life in Burdwan

Likes

The campus is big and full of greenery with the vibrant feel of nature.
The students of the same batch are friendly and helpful.
The teacher's are friendly and helpful. They do provide helpful recommendations for the betterment of your future.

Dislikes

The seniors are overly harsh when it comes to 1st year.
The infrastructure could be worked on. The college lacks renovation.
The hostel does require everyday cleaning and renovation as well as the campus.

Placement Experience:

I don't know much about this but I guess from the sixth semester the students are eligible for campus placements. This year a student from AEIE got a package of 11.2 lacs per annum and the average is around 4 lacs per annum.

Experienced Faculty-students often appreciate a good blend of practical and theoretical knowledge.Faculty members in some department are often known for thier excelence knowledge and experience
Excelent Campus-techno india university has a large campus with excelent facilities such as libraries,labs,seminar halls etc. Some students finds this facilitries useful
Funs and Events-techno india university provides a vibrant campus life with events that span a wide range of interests

Dislikes

Time Management-the one thing that I disliked was their time management.They dont provide a proper shedule for exams,routines etc
Teaching Methods-some students feels that cirtain teaching methods(like a focus on lecture without without interactive learning or industry exposure) must be improved
Placement-techno india university does prepares thier students for placement they only give them the opportunity

Placement Experience:

Elegibility for placement-Generally students become elligible for campus placement in their 7th semester or 8th semester and there might be some prerequisties such as minimum CGPA must be 6-7 with no bachlogs Internship and pre-placement offers-many companies offer internships during the 6th semester or 7th semester and successful interns may receive pre-placement offers if their performance is good. Companies that visits campus: TCS Accenture Cognizent Infosys Wipro Capgemini Deloite Byjus Tech Mahindra Placement Percentage-On average 80%-90% of students may secure jobs through campus placements.However this numbers could vary across different departments and specialization Highest and average package-The highest salary offered at Techno India University was 24 LPA and the average salary was 4-5 LPA. Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement.If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities

Likes

The faculties are very good and very active. They are always ready to help
Campus is very beautiful and nice. Campus may be a little bit smaller but it is beautiful.
Environment is very good. And have a natural's beauty

Location is a thing which may difficult to find out.
Number of faculties are small quantity due to the college is newly established
Because of the college is new so therefore not huge like any NIT or IIT

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There many service based companies visited like TCS ,Cognizant, wipro, Infosys. Almost 60-70% student placed in on campus. Highest package offered by TCS 9-10lpa and Cognizant 6-7lpa wipro 6-7lpa infosys 10lpa etc. 60-70% student getting placement I will go for placement

I got TFW quota in this college from WBJEE Counselling, so for this the total fees for me is 1/8th of the fees paid by other, who take admission through Direct or with WBJEE Counselling itself.
