- Not good girls to boy ratio in engineering. For a class of 70 people there are hardly 11-12 girls.
- No big college fest like other engineering colleges.
- Very lazy and irresponsible people in the placement cell which affects the placement.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is very up to date and closely alligned with the industry. But one thing they could improve is focus more on practical training than classroom teaching. The exams are moderately spaced and prepare you for the final exam.
Internships Opportunities
The intership opportunities are mainly in the field of IT and Software. Comapnies like accenture, Optum, Loreal and CDot offer internships with Optum and Accenture offering interships of 400000 and 50000 respectively. The professors also help to get internships in foreign universities.
Placement Experience
The placement records are quite decent with around 80% of the students getting placed every year. Companies like delloite, TCS, Optum, Accenture and Amazon visit our campus with the average salary of 8 LPA. The highest package this year till mow is 18.5 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college fees for first year is 16350 and for the next 3 years the fees is 13550. There is a provision for scholarship for economically weaker sections like Hamdard foundation of around 16k. The categories of reservation are muslim, muslim obc and women . Also the top 3 rankers in each course get a scholarship of 1000.
Campus Life
The college has various socities like IEEE, TRS, Enactus, E-Cell, SAE , ASME, ASCE and 180DC. We also have clubs like drama club, music club, science club, etc. There socities organise regular workshops and competitions for the students. We have annual tech fest in the month of February.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel here is not available for everyone and students get the hostel after an interview process. We have two hostel campuses with 3 hostels in each campus. The hostel fees is 40000 and each room is of 3 sharing. The hostels are quite hygenic. The mess food is hygenic and quite good. We have both Veg and Non-Veg options with Non-veg 5 days a week. We also get breakfast along with lunch and dinner.
Admission
The main factors for me choosing this college are good faculties, decent placement records, affordable fees and a good reputation. The college has a NAAC A++ accredation. I got chance in few other nits but the branches were not good and so i took admission here. They have their own counselling round and admission is based on that.
Faculty
The faculties here are of top class. There are highly qualified , mostly phd holders from iit with numerous papers to their name. There are very knowledgeable and always there to help you. They help in getting scholarships and internships.The faculty to student ratio is very good. We have two mid sem examinations and an end sem exam . The difficulty of exams is moderate and checking is just.
Night Life
The night life here is not good inside the campus as the campus shuts down after 9-10pm. The entries in specific areas is restricted at night for safety purposes. The hostel is open the whole night and entry is allowed at any time. But since it is located in the heart of new delhi there are a lot of hangout places at night outside the campus like Murthal.
