Course Curriculum Overview

4

There are lots of classes related to the current affairs. Keeps us very up to date. The exams are quite often and on a difficult level as well. For internals 3, 20 marks tests are kept out of which 2 best are chosen which is good in some sense but can also be tedious.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is 49500 for all categories and plus 1000 being the transaction fee for one year. The management quota fees is around 4 lakhs. Library deposit:250 Labrotory fees:400 Caution:150 Admission processing:200 Alumini association:25 Computer practicals:1000 Development fees:500 Disaster relief:10 E-connectivity:20 Environment fees:220 E-Suvidha:50 Examination fees:12,000 Group insurance:125 Gymkhana fees:400 Id card:50 Knowledge resource:6084 Labrotory fees:1000 Library fees:300 Magazine:100 Nss fees:10 Extra curricular;250 Student welfare:50 Tution fees:26000 Univ sports:36 Ulitlity fees:250 Vice chancellors fees:20 Total: 49500 The fees has not increased much in the past few years rather not increased at all.

Campus Life

5

Kshitij which is mithibai's fest is one of the best fest's in mumbai. For the pronite, many famous people come to peform like javed ali, king etc. Even movie actors come to do interviews. The students run many clubs themselves in the college like economic society, literary club, fashion etc.

Admission

I was accepted by all colleges i applied to as i had 99.7 percentile and i had choosen mithibai as i had done my junior college from mithibai as well and it was really good. Everything the faculty, campus, canteen is also cery clean, toilets too, it gives u motivation to study as everyone around u is good as well.

Faculty

5

The faculty is just amazing. All the teachers are very understanding and will solve every students problem. Even if the student has come to bms from science background, the teachers also teach the basics. Exams at times can be tough but if u hace studied well u can do it. Average studying is not adviceable. You have to be very serious with your studies. If you fail, a reattempt is given but if u fail again u have to do the year again. Marking scheme is also nice. 40 marks internal and 60 marks proper exam,

Night Life

3

The campus is very safe to roam around at night. The college shuts at around 8-9, before that u can go to canteen and also carnivals happen and singing performances. The gym is only open till 5. There is not much night life.

Other Applied Colleges

Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics | Bachelor of Management Studies [BMS]

The environment and placements arent as good as mithibai and also the fest culture is better

Placement Experience:

Placement cell is quite good. Students are eligible for placement in their last semester of course. There are many great companies that come like JP MORGAN, EY, KPMG. Average package of the college is 5-6 lacs but there are high packages according to the skills of the student. I'd like to go for master's after BMS. Different kind of roles are there for students to apply according to their interests in all the fields like finance, marketing, HR, consulting. There is training provided by the college for placemens and there is personal training for individual company interviews if required by students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Honestly, the course alone can't prepare you for real world applications. It's important to learn some skills before getting into job market. The course is pretty theory based and doesn't have a practical approach. The only skill thing that college helps with is public speaking through presentations. The teaching methods are also very much traditional type. So it's better to learn some extra skills and get experience, that can help you get your ideal job.
