Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is quite relevant in the real life and has a lot of practical relevance. This course include case studies and industry visits to excel in the future carrer. I am a mathematician so the maths in the course made me choose this course and got to influenced. If they can reduce syllabus and also the regular exams in the college that will be highly appreciated. The teachers are always ready to teach one to one to all who want some extra time and efforts from the teachers. Regular internal exams in every month and end semester exams in around 6 month period. Out of 7 subjects offeredin each semester 3-4 are elective thus the students can choose from the wide variety of subject for the best of their interests. Varieties include skill enhancement courses like coding, accounting, marketing, Java, Vedic maths and many more. Also there are value addition courses including subjects giving moral knowledge to the students about different cultures and traditions. They can also choose to learn some of the new languages like sanskriti, Spanish, French etc as per their choice.

Internships Opportunities

5

College's placement cell do offer a lot of internship opportunities where people can get wonderful internships with competitive stipend to learn in the practical industry experience and also earn quality amount for their monthly expenses. I also got one internship in my 3rd year in foodpe company where I am getting a lot for things to learn in startups, market dimensions, different cloud kitchens and their workings etc. We get internship in variety of roles like sales, marketing, operations, business development, accounting etc which offers all the students the best suited internship about them. Students can also get into some project or research where the teachers can help them a lot in guiding them in the best manner.

Placement Experience

5

The placement cell of the college is very active and provides both job and internship opportunity for 2nd and 3rd year students. Accenture, kpmg, zs associates, de shaw, big 4 etc all these big companies, mncs and startups. Highest package is 37LPA and average package is around 7LPA. Also the stipend for internship is competitive around 12500-30000 per month. Planning to do masters from germany and score good marks in gmat and pursue MIM. Not exactly sure about the placements percentage but for the internship I believe each interest students get the internship with little efforts and for the job opportunities almost 20-40% people who are connected with the placements cell and be active with all the messages and information transferred by them, then most of them can get the job offer from reputed companies. Skills definately matters a lot here as the person scoring exceptional well in the college but don't know anything about corporates or about any field it will be hard for them to get the job. Studens focusing on their skills building and focused in their carrer are very prone to get good job opportunities.

Fees and Financial Aid

In my college, the fees is around 11500 per year. Also there is some variation of ariund 2000 each year the fee hikes. Also there is examination fees for each semester exam around 1500 (variable). College do offer scholarships on the basis of merit i.e. is the top scorer and based on the financial needs. Although there is no difference in the fees for different categories but they can avail scholarship from in and outside the college. Also the students can take scholarships from outside like central DU scholarships or governmental scholarships to get some financial help as per their merit or means.

Campus Life

5

Nice infrasture, currently some are under construction like canteen, lawn, basketball court etc. Many fests takes place in the college like annual, cultural, diwali etc. Many sports competition of cricket, football. Classroom are also quite nice, have proper lightings, vantilition, some classrooms are air conditioned as well but not all. Also the clubs and societies in the college make the college a lot of fun and intaractive with the college mates. Students who have passion in stuff like dance, music, literature, photography, finance and a lot more can continue it under these societies and can get a lot of knowledge from other students or faculty who are more trained and have more knowledge in that segment. This gives a great mind freshing experience from the studies and also boosts our focus level to be more productive in the studies when ever required. In sports competition not only students of different departments but also teachers of each department gets involved which gives a great to chance to connect with your teachers and students of other departments more and learn from them at all the times.

Admission

Kirori mal college is highly reputed amongst other college, has nice set of alumnis and seniors who are always there to help us. Got confirmed admission in kalsa college and ramjas college but choose KMC because it is better than those college. T Got rejected from Srcc and hindu college because got extremely low marks in the cuet exam. Currently you just have to give the cuet exam and just be in the top 5% to get into the north campus colleges, other than this therea re no gd or pi round for admission in all the college except Stephen. The admissions go on pretty smoothly and will get the college in one moth after giving cuet exam.

Faculty

5

The faculty of the college extremely well read and always there to help outside the class as well. Faculty ratio is around 1:20. Niti maam and RSP sir are one of the good faculty in the college who respects the students point of view. Around 7 exams per semester including IA and end semester exams for 70 and 90 marks respectively. Rarely anyone fails in the exams and also it is easy to clear the backlogs if got into some. Course curriculam is easy and practical in real life. But is can be quite difficult for a student if he/she is not active in the class as all these 70 marks out of 160 total are for class assignments, tests, presentation etc that keeps on taking place all around the semester. This the students has to be quite active to perform all these tasks and then further score well overall.

Night Life

4

The nightlife is quite safe in the college campus as it is one of the reputational college under Delhi University, offers a lot of security and facilities. The gym, canteen, library are open for all the students till 7PM which makes it extremely accessible by the students. Also we have a study/reading room where students/hostellers can study calmly with less Distraction and also can enjoy other facilities there life air conditioning, free wifi, nearby canteen, nearby library etc with makes it highly usable. Nearby we have Kamla Nagar market which has a all varieties of products i.e. different food stalls, restaurants, clothing brands, stationery etc. Also we have star mall very near to our college where students can go and spend some quality time and have some amazing food. Mostly police is also there petrolling near the campus which again makes it highly safe for girls and the other students as well.

Placement Experience:

placement and internship fares are regularly conducted on campus where various companies which are mostly start-ups visit to recruit students for internships and entry level roles. Students become eligible for internships from the first year itself. placement opportunities are generally available after the completion of the full degree and only final year. Students are eligible to apply for full-time rules. last during our last internship and placement fair over 20 companies visited and recruited almost 150 candidates. There are no separate records distinguishing internship from placement. The highest package reported for economics honours is around 12 lakhs per annum and the average package is approximately five lakhs per annum. As per my future plans,I intend to pursue a masters degree after completing my undergraduate course.

For USME, FMCG and Financial companies are the ones which are put in place. The only reason is that those are the companies where we can add value and placements of both courses of USME happens together and combined if I say around 75% students are placed. My plan though is to join GIPE after my graduation ends this year.

DTU because East campus is more known for USME placements revolve around us. Now core companies of our sectors are the ones that deals with finance, insurance or stocks. So nearly 20-30 companies of that space or sector hires over 100 students of BAE every year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Too vague to understand, feels extra burden of unnecessary irrelevant topics , extra papers like SEC/VAC simply add to the burden while barely providing with any skills and values as their name suggests . Studying them and preparing for exams add extra stress and unnecessary burden on them , diverting their focus from their core papers , which are already too huge and they study materials or readings simply fail to assist . Areas for improvement would be - proper structured study materials , also proper structured practical subjects / papers for students where they can actually learn or gain knowledge/skills which will be advantageous in their future .
