Course Curriculum Overview

4

I had only studied some computer science in school and have been studying biology until 12th but I was pretty interested in computer science my whole life and hence I decided to opt for this course. As everyone is aware about t he growth of computer science and AI in the world I think it is safe to say that the world will be completely digitalized and the engineers will surely have an upper hand. The teachers conduct meetings with certain students of every class regularly to ask for any complaints or feedbacks referring to every teacher. Hence, any issues with any teachers can be solved quickly. The exams are at a reasonable time so no complaints

Placement Experience

3

The placements of the college are not bad but also I am being said that I should not expect too much as the average person can get less package and just stay with it. But it surely depends on our skill and development and luck to get better packages than many others in good companies I am planning on DSA and other exams starting preparation from the 2nd year which will hopefully succumb to my success. I'll hopefully work for a good company with a good financial background after getting my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

For this year I paid 1,07,495 rupees for the degree of B.tech in Computer science and Engineering joining through the exam KCET of Karnataka 2024 and the same is the fees for every year until 2028. The amount 20000 rs was taken as a donation excluding the main fees. Some of my friends who are joined through management in the Presidency University have paid 3,85,000. They provide hostel facilities which is good and the fees for that is 1,50,000 rupees. There are some scholarship opportunities provided by the management and they apply to the respective scholarship provided we give all the neccessary documents to do so. They also apply for national or state scholarship portal in the office which helps various students.

Campus Life

4

There are festivals like Freshers and Farewell conducted every year and it has lots of fun activites. Apart from those we have some interesting club activities going on every Friday and there are many workshops or seminars being conducted. It has fun coding clubs and sports clubs which is solely dependent on student's will to choose whatever club he or she is hoping to join. The faculty is open to any proposal or ideas by the students for new clubs or events or exercises which can help the students or be useful in active participation of students.

Admission

I opted for colleges like RV university, Ramaiah institute of technology, Vishveshwaraiyya institute of technology etc.. but I wasn't selected by those colleges for the specific course of B.Tech or B.E in computer science and engineering which I really wanted. I was hearing about Presidency University by many people and was advised to opt for this college and I was assigned to this college easily. I waited for 2 rounds of counselling of kcet but didn't get other college except Presidency and I didn't want to wait for another round thinking it would be too late for admission. The process of admission of this college took just a couple of hours to complete and was pretty efiicient considering the number of students

Faculty

4

Not being aware of the exact faculty-student ratio, I'd like to say that there are enough teachers for every subject to be covered and enough substitutes for any mishap. The faculty is not too strict and are approachable relating to any academic issue and all the teachers will surely try to help in whatever possible way they can and won't regret it. The sir named Syed Abrar Ahmed who is our CC is really friendly and will respond to any quieries and the sir named Tanmay Mukherji who is fun to interact with and there is much to learn, the math sir Dr.Juliet Raja who is a skilled funny and cool teacher..etc. There is no such teacher that I did not like yet and I am not sure to I'll find much because when it comes to college teachers are just there to simply make us understand and help if we need some nothing much. There is one mid term and pne end term exam for each semester every year. Except for that the teachers keep taking class tests along with some lab viva every week and exams on some date along with computer lab exams. There are almost no students who failed to clear the exams in my class. The relevance of this course is pretty acknowledgable and I share no complains

Night Life

3

There is a good and neatly maintained Cafeteria with good food where people usually hangout with their friends at lunch and there is also a vast lawn or garden which is free for students to roam around and sit freely and it has natural vibe to it which feels like a chill place for timepass or gossips. There are sport grounds like Cricket, Volleyball, Football etc.. There are highly equipped libraries for many kinds or books which maybe related to business or engineering or science or maybe magazines or ways to develop our mind etcetra. Campus is always closed at night with heavy security guards.
