Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum in particular is quite vast and extended in all the positive implications. They have included Marginalized Studies which covers Dalit Literature, then there is Disable Studies, Post Colonial Studies. The curriculum is very rich and with the best faculties you can easily crack your NET if you study linenantly

Internships Opportunities

4

I have worked in a Summer Internship right here in Delhi University and also worked as a content writer as a freelancer, also in long run it could be a permanent thing. The name of the institution was JD Business

Fees and Financial Aid

We had to pay 28000 per year for our Masters English which is a two year degree making it around 56000 and also we have to pay examination fee every semester which is 710 rupees although largely depends on college to college. I am enrolled in Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa which is a North Campus College. usually during second year the fee amount is reduced as I got to know from my seniors that it would probably be 21000 but this year UoD has made a hike I guess in fee structure. Also Department Students pay comparatively less as they 17k every year. Largely depends on colleges and also the fee structure varies according to North Campus and South Campus colleges too.

Campus Life

4

A lot of annual events are held including Cultural Fests where you can enroll yourself in Drama, Art or and Cultural society. There are societies helping you thrive in your interests like Photography and other passions which you can even take up as a skill or a job in longer run. Then there are Job Melas, Reading Circles, Internship Drives. A lot to feed your creativity, to push your brain and inculcate the best. There are Seminars on Language and Culture, Talks are there and much more to it. Campus Life is amazing, it's all greenery with best amenities, a grand library in Arts Faculty which is accessible for 24 hours, a good harmonious environment and the best seniors that I have got.

Admission

I applied for a couple of colleges in my CUET application. I got into BHU as well as it is one of the prestigious study institutions but then after I cleared the entrance for UoD I preferably chose Delhi University as the English Department is kinda much better here in Delhi University. On the other hand BHU is more about language and culture it would be good to take Sanskrit or Maths or any other Science Subject as well but with English I think Delhi University is better in my opinion

Faculty

4

The faculty here in English Department is quite nice. The reason why taking up English as a course in Delhi University is highly recommended reflects back in the richness of the quality of lectures. The exams are pretty good, if you've studied and paid attention in the class you will pass through. Hardly students would have failed there exams in English Department upto my knowledge

Night Life

4

Green Cafeterias all around the campus of Arts Faculty and especially the Vivekananda Statue got to be the centre of Attraction for all students in Arts Faculty Wing. There is a canteen right between the gates of CLC and Arts Faculty which gives the healthiest food for students in just 45 rupya thali. Students hang out often in the campus itself for its authentic rustic building and ofc Kamla Nagar Market is a good to place for shopping stuff be it roadside or brands. Sudama Tea Stall just in walking distance is a good to place to relax and have some amazing 'Chai'

Other Applied Colleges

Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University - [CSJMU] | Bachelor of Education [B.Ed]

I wanted better opportunities and as we all know University of Delhi being a Central University gives you ample opportunities to grow and thrive

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very less. Jamia have outdated syllabus for Psychology. There is only a specialization comes in the third semester. But the compulsory two montha field work internshipnte is effective. It is a beginning for the preparation for us for the real world applications. But in Jamia we have many time for preparing for other competitive examinations for higher studies. Exams and teaching methods are good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Doing master in political science was the obvious choice for me because I have done my graduation in political science and if you are talking about the academics pursuit in this field you can how to do PHD after Clearing your net exam but there will be no other Job opportunity you will get in this course. The only scope you have that you can prepare for upsc or other government exams. Otherwise, if you are from engineering background that is, you have done your graduation from engineering then definitely you should opt further in this field only.

Remarks:

According to me, coming to JNU has been an life-altering experience for me. It has taught to embrace people from different backgrounds equally and also lended me the confidence to speak out my mind, even when it is not a popular opinion, whenever I want to. Also, the freedom of personal space that one can enjoy in this campus, without falling prey to any judgement, is also very inspiring and motivating.

Remarks:

SAU is good in faculty and curriculum but its not good in facilities. Sau don't have any good campus. It feels like that one is coming in an institute to attend classes. Despite having great fees i.e. almost 30k per semester they provide us with zero facilities. Its a place for hostllers. Students coming from other states can find this place heaven. But for day scholars like me its like a punishment. I don't feel like going to college as you are excluded. Either they should have hostels for everyone or they should have other facilities.
