Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is upto date and since NM became autonomous from Mumbai University in 2020 it has improved immensely. Teachers use practical learning methods. There is also a cultural subject you have to choose in sem 2 which is very helpful for overall development

Placement Experience

5

Almost 80% of the students get placed. The top recruting companies are kpmg, delloit, pwc and other CA firms. The average package is around 5-6 lakhs rupees. My plan is not to go for campus placement as I want to do master's after bachelors

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees was around 15000 per year. You can get scholarship if you belong to st sc category. You can also get scholarship on merit basis. inhouse student will have a separate category for admissions .

Campus Life

4

Various fest are held throughout the year like umang, arthashastra, insights, milap. You can get various books in the library. There is also a computer lab which students can use anytime to make projects. There is no sports activities as the campus is really small. There are various clubs that students can join according to their interest

Admission

I applied for this college as it is 8th best commerce college in India. I applied for du as well but couldn't get in due to low score. Only 12th percentage is required for most of the course however maharashtra cet is required for bms

Faculty

4

Most of the teachers are trained adequately however you might come across some teachers who make you think how they even qualified. There are 2 internals and 1 sem end exams. There are approximately 130 students in each division of b.com

Night Life

4

There is a canteen but the food is not good at all. There is no hostel facility like most mumbai colleges. The locality is safe to roam around during night. Most famous place near the campus is amar fastfood and juice centre and anand vada pav. There are also famous cafes and clubs in vile Parle and juhu

Other Applied Colleges

Delhi University - [DU] | Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com]

My score was low so I couldn't get admission in a good clg there

Placement Experience:

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The B.com is not a very comprehensive and complex degree to complete for someone who wants to pursue his/her career in finance. It can be referred as an initial start or push start for one's finance journey over the years. Also the relevance of B.com in real world is gradually decreasing day by day.

From semester 5, you become eligible for final placement and semester 3 for internship placement. many companies like Nykaa, Myntra, Duetsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, Zomato, Beerbiceps and more have visited. the highest package in history is 38 lakh per annum. The average is 8-9 lakh per annum. Around 70% of students get the college placement. My plan is to start my own business after college. I am although doing internships through college. Already done one in Beerbiceps and one in chorus call.

Placements in my college are decent but not very high. students usually become eligible from the final year and few companies visit for roles like accounting assistant, sales, customer service. The average package is usually around Rs.2LPA-Rs.3LPA.

Remarks:

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
