Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choosed ot beacuse of my interest in financial markets and it has teached me a lot about it since pass two sems. Another thing to pint out is that some part of the curriculum is too outdated and can be skipped while adding new curriculum to make it industry friendly nowadays.

Internships Opportunities

5

Various companies like motilal oswal, anand rathi and etc reached out for internship opportunities for the students and also a lot of students gets the paid internships for upto 1 year as well. Roles include social media management, financial analysis, sales, marketing, etc

Placement Experience

5

The placement is the best in its segment. It ranges from 5-6 lakhs all the way upto 21-23 lakhs as per recent placement report of the college. The placement cell helps a lot in getting the placement for the students of the last sem that is 6th sem in most of the courses. Almost 30% students gets placed every year in various profiles like product management, investment banking, private equity, sales, marketing, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees is 55,000 overall and the course is for 3 years so it would be 1,65,000.And also for all thr category students the fees is the same for BFM. Scholarships are also available for some underprivileged students

Campus Life

5

Overall experience is phenomenal with a wide range co-curricular activites in the college. Be it the world library or sports facilities or other social groups helping the society there's so much to learn. With amazing events, seminars, carnivals and fests as recreational purposes are one of a kind. Overall campus life is pure joy and fun.

Admission

I choose NM because of the brand image that it has. Also, the comparatively higher placements than most other commerce colleges in the country. And because of the strong alumni network and industry connections that i would be able to make through NM just topped my list of the colleges that i have selected. Talking about the admission process of the college, its pretty simple they have then criteria for your 12th marks and on the basis of that they select you on merit basis. BMS separately has CET exam as its entrance exam.

Faculty

5

Faculties are top notch from each respective fields. The best faculty i would say would be vidur dhabaria sir of understanding india subject. Exam pattern includes three internals and one end sem exams with assignments and projects as well. It's moderate not too difficult not too easy to score.

Night Life

5

Nightlife in mumbai is always and vile parle is the go to for it with multiple cafes and hang out areas around the college be it papylon, udupi, starbucks, mcdonalds, anandh vadapav, dairy don, chocolate heaven, dakshinayan, prithvi cafe, nagori tea point and the list goes on and on and on.

Other Applied Colleges

Mithibai College of Arts | Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com] (Accounting and Finance)

Since i prefer NM over Mithibai

Course Curriculum Overview:

The B.com is not a very comprehensive and complex degree to complete for someone who wants to pursue his/her career in finance. It can be referred as an initial start or push start for one's finance journey over the years. Also the relevance of B.com in real world is gradually decreasing day by day.

Placement Experience:

From semester 5, you become eligible for final placement and semester 3 for internship placement. many companies like Nykaa, Myntra, Duetsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, Zomato, Beerbiceps and more have visited. the highest package in history is 38 lakh per annum. The average is 8-9 lakh per annum. Around 70% of students get the college placement. My plan is to start my own business after college. I am although doing internships through college. Already done one in Beerbiceps and one in chorus call.

Placement Experience:

Placements in my college are decent but not very high. students usually become eligible from the final year and few companies visit for roles like accounting assistant, sales, customer service. The average package is usually around Rs.2LPA-Rs.3LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Due to NEP the course has been more developed to the students and teachers also explain the topocs to us very clearly and the thing should be change that the timing of the paper are at morning time which is at 7:30am it should be 10 or 10:30 because this time the students get late to the paper and didnt get time to prep.

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.

Remarks:

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
