What Students Say

Likes

The washrooms are very very clean and hygienic.
The classrooms is very much spacious with good benches
The college has good crowd management and hygienic canteen.

Dislikes

The college was very strict in terms of attendance
The exams were very tough and sometimes out of syllabus as well.
Majority crowd is gujrati due to gujju minority.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is very good according to NEP 2020. The teachers use the smart board and effectively and teach us nicely. While some teachers can't use the smart board properly , we students come to their rescue.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 350 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for this college is very affordable as it was an aided course. The college also provided with various reservations and scholarships for girl child , obc , st/sc, etc. The college provided good infrastructure and amenities at a reasonable price.

Campus Life

The college has many guests including its cultural fest UMANG, And others like Arthashastra, Techfest, Arithmos...Their are committees as well like Finance and investment cell, Entrepreneurship cell,Insight and many others which give us a broad spectrum

Admission

The college's I had applied other than NM were MITHIBAI, Jai hind, KC,HR and Hinduja. I was more than glad to get admission in NM for it is the best college for commerce students. Since my percentage was great I was able to get a seat in NM which was my first preference

Faculty

The faculty of NM college is really experienced. Most of them have great knowledge about the subject they are teaching. The faculty is very friendly and supportive towards the students. The exams are conducted on a general basis

Night Life

There is a Mc Donald's right in front of our college. Their are 3 canteens in our college which are very much affordable. Juhu beach is very close to our college. Mithibai college is just a walk away from our college

The college is Good

Placement Experience:

From semester 5 students become eligible for campus placement. The companies which visited college are Deloitte, KPMG, Asian paints and some other companies. And most of the students were selected. The average package offered was around 300000 LPA.

I did not sit for placements , because I already had an offer off the college. But my friends did get paced with Delloite and EY 85% students get placed as per my knowledge

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very good on paper. University has given like 8 subjects from which we have to choose 5. But this college itself chooses 5 subjects and students now have to learn only them ... Like in 3rd year sem 5 there was subject international finance I wanted to study that because baf course is all about finance but the college had subject management. So yeah be prepared for this. Placement is very good of bmcc , like this years only bny , tresvista, eaton , and more good companies came and took 10 students average each company. Also they provided good ctc and package. Students are eligible from 5th semester to take part in placement. 40 percent of students get placement everyyear. My plan after getting the degress is to focus on my business and will to expand it

Placement Experience:

The placement record of the college is very good,the average salary for the bcom is 400000-500000 and the highest salary last year was 1200000 the companies visited last year was Zomato,Citi bank, reliance and etc. my plan is to pursuit my PG in MBA by giving entrence exams.

A deep dive into NMCCE, Mumbai

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is recommended for the students who want to pursue a career in the finance field or if someone who is looking to a course like CFA, this bachelors degree becomes handy. This course teaches you about the financial spectrum of the whole world and gives you an intricate understanding about different financial instruments and their relevance in the society. It teaches one of the most sought after skills in today's world, that is financial literacy. Still I think some of the subjects introduced under the NEP are completely irrelevant such as EVS and IKS. We as college students need to give quality time on some professional subjects, not that these subjects are not important but they need to be emphasised in the early classes. There are three internal exams of 10 marks each and 20 minutes for each paper. The end sem exam is of 30 marks for minor subjects and 60 marks for major subjects. Also I feel that the difficulty level is okay.

NM at a glance

I choose NM because of the brand image that it has. Also, the comparatively higher placements than most other commerce colleges in the country. And because of the strong alumni network and industry connections that i would be able to make through NM just topped my list of the colleges that i have selected. I always wanted to come in Narsee monjee college of commerce & economics. Firstly, due to the exposure you get from the city, Mumbai and then the brand value of college. I applied for NM, mithibai and Jai hind with the priority list as mentioned. I got admission in Jai hind but at the same time in NM, so I took my admission in NM. A deep dive into NMCCE, Mumbai

Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics is one of the finest colleges in Maharashtra and also in India. I had chosen this college due to its excellent academic records and the feedback from many seniors of mine who were the alumni of this college. Also this college has good placement in comparison to other comments in Maharashtra if not india. I had even given IPMAT and NPAT, I could crack IPM but had gotten admission into NMIMS, still I preferred NMCCE as it was more economical and still good enough for a bachelors degree as I also wanted to do CFA alongside Our college trans admission on the basis of 12th percentage.
