Remarks

I am forever grateful to study in Miranda House and I have no negative remarks.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

In my opinion, the course curriculum is relevant or research-driven to an extent. In my course, that is History, the curriculum focused more on the social aspect of the past and its consequences, instead of learning dates and political history by heart. This in a way plays a role in making us a better professional, who can analyze the significance of events rather than just state facts.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement cell was inactive for a long time in my College, but since the past 3 years, they have been able to attract some big companies. As for internships, the placement cell is also engaged in getting the best of the internship to the students.

College Events

4.5

The college organizes several events around the year. On a larger scale, the Annual College fest is the most significant event, which attracts students from across the city. Similarly, different departments of the college also organize their department tests and invite great academician around the year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The Annual fees of my College differ for every course. As for my subject that is History, the fees that I paid during my admission was around Rs. 12,000. In the subsequent year, the annual Fees saw a hike to around Rs. 14,000. In my third year, the Annual fees are around Rs. 12000. (Not the exact amount)

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not opted for any scholarship or Education loans and hence I will not be able to answer this.

Campus Life

4.5

Miranda House is an all girl's college with very vibrant college life. The student body is highly diverse, coming from different corners of the country. The college also has a number of cultural as well as academic Societies. The labs in the college are highly equipped. One of the specialties in the college is the Robotics Lab which is unique to Miranda House.

Alumni/Alumna

The college has a great alumni network, many of whom are big names in the media today. The senior students with whom I have engaged are very approachable and ready to help always.

Admission

Delhi University releases cut-offs every year for admission into the undergraduate course. I got admission into Miranda House in the third cut off, which was released in the first half of July 2017. The admission was done in person in the college and the whole process can take a whole day.

Faculty

5

The faculty at my college is excellent. The professors of my department are so well-read and have in-depth knowledge about the subject, leaving no scope for any doubt. Their helpfulness, as well as approachability, is also very significant. Apart from academics, the faculty ensures that the students do not hesitate to take up any personal issue with them and seek their assistance.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have a keen interest in theoretical subjects. Even in my school time, I liked theory subjects more than practical or numerical subjects. This is one of the reason I chose this specific course. Another reason is that I like reading non fictional novels. At the age of 15, I started reading novels but after diving into this course I'm liking the fictional novels too. I don't think this course needs to improve anything. It is in it's best form at the point.

Placement Experience:

I think students become eligible for campus placements in 5th semester as now they are mature enough to be given such responsibility and to secure their future. I am not aware about the number of companies and offers. I am also not aware about the highest or lowest package offered but the average package for my college is ?6.5 lakhs per annum. The cgpa should be above 7.5 for better chances of getting placements. My plan is to get a good college placement in starting of the 5th semester.

I liked Economics as a subject in my class 12th and I choose this course for my undergraduate degree. I really liked the curriculum as it includes both practical knowledge and theory too. It's not theory heavy. Course includes some real life problems that I can relate very well..

Course Curriculum Overview:

I find thr course curriculum quite relevant. Geography is a very dynamic and practical subject and our course is designed that way to provide students a comprehensive knowledge of the course. We usually have two theory and one practical subject related to the course providing all the necessary learning and also preparing us for further research work.

I knew a senior already and asked her about the college she said teaching staff is good for which I can totally agree..there are a lot of assignments and stuff but at last it's helpful helps to gain exposure, knowledge and experience If you participate in all the activities which happend then it will be really good and helpful But the syllabus is very vast and with activities and assignment it gets stressful For the first year first sem it was very hectic as the exams were in really few gap but it was fine in second sem It is advised to try to study side by side atleast a little bit
