Remarks

The College Of Vocational Studies, a maintained institution of Delhi University, was founded in 1972. It makes a small beginning in a great change in the field of higher education making it more meaningful and diversified. Through this experiment, we seek to break new ground by bridging the gap between static university education and the social environment.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Great. Once in a year for 3-year B.com (H) course. If you are not satisfied with your marks or wanted to repeat that next year. you can do that due to the great facility available in Delhi University. I did that for one exam & I got a good score in IInd year.

Placement Experience

3

Students of SOL, Alumni of SOL can avail of Skilling and Entrepreneurial support (General, SC/ST/OBC, Divyang, North Eastern Region, Women, and UnemployedYouth)and any other category of deserving applicants that promotes Make In India and Self Employment in rural and or urban areas across India.

College Events

4

College life is fully filled with different events throughout the course. My college celebrated so many events such as International Yoga Day – 21st June 2018 All the teachers and the students are cordially invited for Yoga Day celebrations and practice on 21.06.2018 as per the under mentioned Programme. VENUE: YOGA ROOM, NEW ACADEMIC BLOCK Program 09:30 am: Assembly of Students & Faculty, Video screening of yoga postures. 10:00 am: Yoga Practice, Lecture& Demonstration by Yoga Teacher 11:00 am: Distribution of PromotionalLiterature on Yoga. 11:30 am: Refreshment

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was feasible as it was Delhi University fee structure which is very affordable. Anyone can afford the same. The student never talks about the hike etc. Even the Delhi bus transport passes have been issued to college student free of cost. At that time Madan Lal Khurana was a CM.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not aware if there is any. There must be something introduced now as times are changing and technology as well. So, hopefully, we get to loan systems fro everyone to afford education in our esteemed university.

Campus Life

4

there are an equal amount of boys and girls in this college .there is a separate society for every extracurricular activity which is very good like foe sports there is sports society like for dance there is a dance society and each society contain one head and other subheads

Alumni/Alumna

They are definitely helpful as we get to keep in touch with our fellow classmates and professors as well. We have an Alumni Page on FACEBOOK. Yes, we are very much interacted and connected to our seniors and the pass outs who are alumni we always call them on any important events and fest in our college. they use to visit us whenever we need them if they got the time if they are busy in their daily schedule we manage and adjust all those things to take some time out for a fruitful meet.

Faculty

Great. I got Best Taxation Professor who was a relative of Mr. Singhania who writes taxation books. She helped me in understanding the basics of Indirect taxation due to which I scored well in my exams as well. I also got an opportunity to take migration in Shaheed Bhagat Singh college but due to the best faculty, I didn't opt that.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Subjects like Law, Management, HRM and Economics really influence my choice for this course. The law and economics part was really something that garb my attention as well as excite me the most. It really helped in understanding HR policies in depth which helped me really world a lot. The curriculum should include more practical and technical subjects which will help in the corporate world too. The exam timings were usually 2 to 3 hours max. And the exam also doesn't come too hard to pass.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum of Janki Devi Memorial College is quiet relevant and covers the important areas of the subject in a structured way one of the reasons I preferred this course was it is designed according to Delhi University standards and the syllabus is recognise and useful for higher studies the combination of theory papers skill enhancement courses and internal assessment help in building clear understanding of the subject. The curriculum helps in writing resources and critical thinking skills which are useful not only in exams but also for future academic and professional work at the same time, I feel that adding move practical sessions, workshop, or more project based learning with me the course more engaging and closed to Real world applications. Exams are held in the form of internal assessment during semester and final University exam at the end.Exams schedule is manageable and the difficult level is moderate.
