- Mess food is not upto the mark and it can be improved in terms of taste as compared to other IIT's
- Due to the presence of so many Students at the Campus, it increases the Competition for an Average guy to get into Societies
- The Boys to Girls ratio is about 1/6 at the campus which is better but can be improved in order to groom personality and confidence to talk to opposite Gender among Students
Course Curriculum Overview
I Chose Electrical Engineering because of the various opportunites in Core as well as Tech Placements, It is easier for you to be placed if you belong to Circuital Branches. Curriculum is updated time to time only to support the real world issues which in turn makes us Industry relevant Course curriculum can be improved by adding more advanced applications of Electrical engineering to make us future ready I found the frequency of the exams quite balanced and with moderate difficulty

Admission
I applied for other colleges like IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, etc. but finally end up here because this is the most beneficial college and branch I can get on the basis of my JEE Advanced Rank and I definitely did not regret my decision of choosing IIT Kharagpur Electrical Engineering The Admission to our college is done through JOSAA counselling, you have to clear JEE mains and JEE Advanced Examinations along with class 12th Board Examination in order to be eligible for admission, the cutoffs for these were generally above 92 percentile in JEE mains and above 110 Marks in JEE Advanced for General category students
Faculty
The Faculty to Student ratio is 1:13, here Faculties are very supportive and We can approach to them to discuss our course related problems. I like professor Atul Jain who teaches us Basic Engineering Mechanics the most because of his unique style of explaining the concept in depth clearly I don't like Professor Debaprasad Kashta because he did not give us time to make notes during class and does not provide us with the lecture slides of the topic Total number of exams can vary course to course but we have Mid Sem and End Sem Examinations as our main examinations which are mainly on a Moderate level and one can easily score well if he understands the topic during the lectures properly
