Course Curriculum Overview

3

They have a really unstable syllabus. We don't know the exam dates, even if they give us a syllabus, it's subject to change. We learn very basic stuff in class but in tests they give you complex problems. It's all very confusing. I didn't have psychology in my plus two, so I used to study it myself, and I think it was easier to grab concepts then. Here, I just get all confused and all I can focus on is getting all the assignments done before deadline instead of actually learning something.

Internships Opportunities

3

There are a few internship opportunities iffered by the same companies that come for placements. The stipend ranges from 3000 to 15000. Most internship opportunities come for second year students. And are mostly accompanied with job offers after successful internship completion.

Placement Experience

2

Since I am doing an undergrad psychology course there is not much placements options. But for other courses there are companies such as Deloitte, Goldman Sachs that come for placements. People (very selected few) can apply from second year and walk in their 3rd year with an offer letter in hand.

Fees and Financial Aid

For my first year i paid ?100000. And it's the same for all 4 years of my degree. However it has increased by 10% for the next batch. There is no option to pay the fees semester wise so you have to pay the entire amount at once. The people from Karnataka from my batch had to pay only 80000. They do have merit scholarships for people in need of aid.

Campus Life

4

There are two major fests that take place around the year. One is Darpan that happens around August. There are a number of events that take place in that including literature, theatre, dance, music. Along with Darpan, sports events (Pedagogic league) also takes place. Next comes Blossoms in around February which is an. inter campus event and also encompasses a number of competitions. Other than these two departmental level events are always going on. You can always find stalls, or performances, or drives happening.

Admission

So I chose this college mostly because the reviews online were really good. The academics, extra curricular everything was overrated. So for my program I just had to apply and clear an interview round to get in. For some courses they also have an entrance test which you have ro clear to get to the interview.

Faculty

2

So we have a semester program. We have four assessments in total which consist of 3 CIAs (Continuous Internal Assessment) and the final end semester exam. The second CIA is mid sem exam and the other two are mostly a project or some presentation or a test. The faculty is okayish for psychology. I was expecting the psych faculty to be a little considerate, but to be honest i think they are the least considerate department. The rules are too strict. The teachers can't share PPTs to students to study from, we can't use laptops for note taking it has to be a notebook. They have a capping system on grades. So no one can score more than a particular grade even if they deserve it. So most of the time the entire class will just get an average grade. And it really affects your final GPA score.

After 5th semester, We have our internship as IIP. The companies coming are namely, Blackrock, Oxane, Zepto, Informatica and more. The placements are going well for Marketing and Finance. The Highest package is 50lpa and median is 10lpa. But if you stay in top 10-20% in your batch you can get, 13-14lpa. The profiles offered are of management trainee, financial analyst, data analyst, etc. Around 60-70% of the batch gets placed, but cracking interviews for placements is in student's hand.
