Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is refined by NEP and it is nice. There are common topic in semester 1 with class 11,12 but some parts in accounts and the whole of LAW is something new and it is a bit challenging for us but if someone pays attention in classes then one would not face any problems. Teachers randomly ask questions from concepts they have taught and this makes us study and pay proper attention. The mid sem examination questions are from the things discussed in classes and notes provided by faculty.

Internships Opportunities

5

There are society's and clubs in St xaviers College which you can join and they will assign you certain project and challenges which will push you and expand your cognitive thinking and problem solving capabilities but for the first semester the first two semester I don't think that internship opportunities provided by the college itself because I am currently in semester 1 so I don't know about the internship opportunities but what I have heard from seniors that placement cell is really hard working and the opportunities provided are good. Apart from that you can easily reach out to companies and places personally right now I myself am doing an internship in a startup and the life balance is good because I'm free for the whole day after college hours.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for st xaviers is available on its website beware first of all that don't get confused in sxuk and sxccal and sxc mumbai. All 3 are different with different fees. We are talking about SXCCAL st Xavier's autonomous college kolkata. The first payment at time of registration is 34700/- including a part of semester 1 fees and admission fees. Then subsequently we have to pay 15000 for semester 1 later on by 31st October.(Estimated And following for 2nd semester total is 15000+17000= 32000 for semester 2 For the evening batch of bcom which is noy subsidised by the govt. The total semester 1 fees is 82700/- and semester 2 fees is 62000/- So the difference is significant but there are also a lot of pros in evening batch as well such as it's co-ed, higher competition and more socialising opportunities.

Campus Life

5

There are variety of clubs in St Xavier's College ranging from astronomical to drama club and there quotes specific club such as clubs for economic clubs for arts clubs for management. And all the seniors who recruit us a super supportive and their pushes forward to enhance a cognitive and thinking abilities and they provide us a different Outlook towards all the aspects of life there is a different committee for sports and extra curricular activities and the campus ground is really big there is separate basketball and a table tennis area in college and the books and journals in the library are very well efficient to help you along your journey. We have a cyber room in which you can get all the xerox documents and your stationery room was so where you can access all the stationary at convenient prices there is a cyber card given to us which we can use which we have to use actually for around 60 days in the cyber room you can go sit over there do whatever research you want to do and you will be given attendance for 30 minutes and you actually need this attendance at the end of the semester because it will get converted into marks

Admission

The reason I choose St xaviers College was that it was my dream to be a part of this institution since childhood and when I got the opportunity because its food good marks in class 12 I applied only in St xaviers College and lovely I got it but I faced certain challenges such as I was asked to go home at the time of registration because I was wearing round neck collar t-shirt which is strictly prohibited and I did not know about this secondly my certificate of class 12 did not carry my principal signature so they rejected it. you need to keep it in mind because the admission process is very strict but the people are very helpful and cooperative if you communicate with them properly

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is poor. The number of students have been increased even the faculty teachers have been mentioning that it's difficult to teach so many students at once. There are around 85-100 students in every class in Bcom morning. But still the teachers manage to teach you well and keep notice of every action and nuisance going on in class. They are rigid and strict regarding attentiveness and discipline so we can still study properly. We have a mid sem exam that is of 40 marks and 20 marks for hindi and business communication and then the sem exam. All this in span of roughly 6 months so it gets pretty jizzed up but that makes you study well. The curriculum co incides for CA students and it's really helpful for us because for subjects like law the faculty of college explains a lot of concepts that we ourself couldn't understand

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is average , I chose this course because I wanted to do an honours degree and I'm from commerce background so my first pick was B.Com . They really put efforts to prepare students for well future , as I said earlier some teachers are genuinely very good helpful supporting and good at what they do . Something they need to approve is the 70% attendance criteria, I think they need to understand not every student is just persuing graduation they are doing some other courses or jobs etc so they can't maintain 70% attendance . The frequency of timing is average

Course Curriculum is Comprehensive, focused equally on Academics and Practical Exposure.. I chose because of that extra year of research I can choose to do in my final year (4th year) of graduation and I'll have an Hons. Degree at the end of 4th year of my college... Practical insights makes sure we are being trained to tackle practical world and academic knowledge ensures we are eligible to apply for further Education.. I will say more focus on Practical Exposure and a little extra focus on Sports May Take This Curriculum to a different level..
