Likes

Our college campus looks like a set of Bollywood film, it's that great.
Every year during our fests, artists are called upon and singers like Aastha Gill and Arjun Kanugo have already performed for us in the past.
Our canteens food is next level as I never carry my lunch box from home and instead have my lunch at the canteen daily.

Dislikes

Too much of activity and sometimes studies takes the back seat.

Course Curriculum Overview

Economics was my subject in 11th and 12th and to have a deep insight on that, i chose BA Economics (Hons). Our curriculum is quite vast and still we are pushed by other fellow students and sometimes even management to devote time for extra curricular activities. Balancing both is a little tough here otherwise the course is adept and so is college academic structure as well.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 30000 per year

Placement Experience

Banks like HSBC, Barclays, and ICICI are college's partners since very long. New age companies like the DeShaw, Bain Capital and others too have started hiring people from our branch. Average mat stood around 7 lakhs or more but studnets have got the packages worth 25 lakhs and around about that.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have joined the college this year and the fees for my course for general category is 30000. Hence I have paid 30000 but my classmates who are SC/ST students have paid around 18000. So almost a 40% scholarships is what they have availed. Affordability is next level as Hindu college is one of the best colleges in our country and to graduate from there by paying less than lakh, I don't think I could have asked for anymore.

Campus Life

Our annual fest ke Mecca and is indeed the most sought after fests in the DU. Be it LSR or SRCC, all the students of top DU colleges come and dance to the tunes that are played during our fests. Basket Ball court and Badminton court are the places where finding place to play is next to impossible. Over 30+ societies and students actively are involved with th societies to garner other skills in which societies of our college helps immensely.

Admission

Honestly, I don't mind being a part of the Hindu College and say that yes, I wanted to go to LSR. LSR requires 770 or more and that is a next level thing to do. At 749 CUET score, ST. Stephens and the Hindu College are available and I chose the later as the campus of th Hindu college is too good.

Faculty

It's a debate which will never end that which DU college has the best faculties. I am in the Hindu College and I have friends who got into the other colleges and when we discuss this, Hindu college wins it hands down. So, if we have the best faculties among DU colleges, what else can I say more as apart from their experience and knowledge, they still have a lot more to offer by teaching us the most important life lessons.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is something that can have improvements. For example I am studying C++ in my computer minor class which is becoming less and less relavent as compared to a lamguage like python. Alot of job prospects require students to know a language like R so I feel things like that should be taught so that the course cam make a student more real world ready.

DESHBANDHU COLLEGE BEST CHAPTER OF MY LIFE SO FAR

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course requires a lot of analytical and logical thinking. The scope is quite wide in my course without having any professional degree too like research, analytics, finance manager etc. This course gives opportunity to gain applied skills and as we are dealing with quantitaive aspects our statistics also gets better with time. Few improvements which i would like suggest are that their should more practical and real life knowledge, currently it is very theoritically heavy. Teaching online softwares must be compulsoury so that we remain updated with technology.

Placement Experience:

Placements of my college are pretty good. The placement cell of my college is pretty active and facilitataes the placement process. Companies like Deloitte, EY and PWC often come to our college for placements with the average package being Rs. 8,00,000. After getting this degree, i will pursure another degree in MBA or I might also take a part in the placement process and pursue an MBA later. Students in semester 6 and further can take part in the placement process but there are internship fairs and summer internship programmes for students who are not eligible for placements

Students become Eligible for campus placements after in the 3rd year. The placements have been improved a lot in the past years. Companies like Pwc, kpmg, McKinsey, bain and Co come for campus placements. The highest package was 23 lakhs per annum last year.

Beginning of a new life- Hindu College

I choose this college as it got the NIRF rank 1 in 2024. The college is very diverse in terms of courses and students. The college has a campus area of around 25 acre. I have applied for the other colleges of north campus too but Hindu College was my first priority. I got it in the first round of common seat allocation system so I didn't need to bother to choose other colleges. I have to give cuet exam so that I can take admission in Delhi University. The eligibility for my course was to study mathematics till 12th class and the student who has given maths exam in cuet and 2 other subject and 1 language exam. Then the cutoff for this course comes in various colleges. College and course are allotted on the CSAS portal of Delhi University.
