Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum of this collage is good , there are so much Lab for textile, basic science and computer. I am from apparel back ground ,there are so many lab for apparel and textile testing so we can easily understand topic of textile using practical .

This collage is known for textile collage and students of TT and APM are more opportunity in internship than CSE , IT. There are lots of company like welspun, brij design ,Raymond etc are gave opportunity of internship for TT and APM student

From 7th semester student eligible for campus placement. For TT and APM student there quite a lot of opportunity for internship and placement . All student of TT and APM are placed before completation of BTech .

I am a fresher of this collage for last two months. Being a student of this collage I suggest there are lots of opportunity in cultural and club . Sports fecilitese are awesome , there are many inter collage competition , and collage competitions .

If you want to study in this collage you must have appear in wbjee and a good rank in this examination. There is direct admission in this collage so all student of this collage is better than other collages

Faculty

Faculty students ratio for TT and APM is almost 20:1 The faculties of this collage are to good, maximum are PhD holder . There are so many exam like ca 1,2,3,4 and other internal exam before semester exam ?

Good Faculty but Average Campus Life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was relevant for beginners and covered important computer subjects like programming basics, DBMS, networking, and computer fundamentals. It helped in understanding the foundation of IT and software. However, the curriculum needs more practical sessions, coding practice, live projects and industry level skills. Exams were conducted semester wise with internal assessment, and the difficulty level was moderate. Overall the curriculum is good for basics, but it should be updated with more modern topics and practical learning.

A comprehensive review of MAKAUT , WB

Placement Experience:

from 6/7 th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. Infosys visited with around 22-23 offers , Cognizant visited with arount 15-16 offers , TCS visited with several offers(not sure how many) , that's it the big names. Apart from these small startups and companies visited too. Highest package offered was 11lpa by TCS , 9.6lpa by infosys, 6.48lpa by Cognizant. Profiles were ASE in TCS , PAT in CTS , SET in Infosys. The percentage of students placed was less arount 30-40% , mostly because the curriculum lacks placement prep. I have joined Cognizant as a Programmer Analyst Trainee after graduating .

Placement Experience:

Placement was average if you have good background knowledge so you will definitely get placed. After 7th semester companies started coming and also there is different criteria for all companies like some company required more than 8 CGPA that completely dependent on company preferences. The average package is 3.5 lpa .Most of the student get hired by tcs. Placement success based on branch and skill.

All our professors were very helpful and kind to everyone. They were always one step forward in helping us in every way possible. They were friendly and very knowledgeable. Our course curriculum had data analysis and econometrics, which every company looks for. The topics taught were relevant. Semester exams were not very easy, but our professors prepared us in every way. The pass percentage was approximately 85%. Students were among the top-ranked in the city.
