Course Curriculum Overview

3

I actually dont know. I took btech due to a curiosity and to learn about machines and all. The curriculum actually very designed for preparing us for the real world applications except its hard to understand and learn all of it. The teaching is in between good and bad. Some of them are very good like too good and some were very worse. The frequency of the exams is one in 6 month with 4 modules per subject, which is actually a bit high and the teachings sessions were too fast to catch up with

Internships Opportunities

4.5

There are two types of internships 1.FabLab Also known as fabrication lab which mainly focuses on 3d printing and 3d designing and making a prototype.Fablab also includes coding and basic robotics which includes arduino programming. 2.Metallurgy Lab This lab is currently not available due to somea reasons so i dont know anything about it

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is different in each semester. I am at my 3rd semester. For the firat two semeters its around 23k And for the 3rd one is around 24-25 k. There is also PTA fund around 4k, with the reservation its under 500.All the other fees like library, etc.. Are includer with the Semester fee. There is also exam fee within each semester. Also there are unofficial expenses which include transport, celebrations and all.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life has never been easy. There a ton of work a almost no free time at all. At the morning go to the college and go through the boring lectures and all come back home and do all the assignments, records and notes.. Then in a blink of an eye the semester ends and there will be university exam. Book were easily available in the library with no problem. There isnt a main ground for sports activities in the campus but there are some and its not bad.

Admission

I wrote many entrance exams for eg. CUEST, NDA, KEAM, JEE.. Including CAT,, i got KEAM in 3 colleges Kannur, Idukki and someshere else. Then also got CAT whicb is the entrance exam for CUSAT. I was a bit confused at the beginning but then i did a lot of research on which good and finally took CUSAT as my college. Also the admission process was fast and smooth. Everything went great

Faculty

2.5

To be honest the faculties are not that great. If there is an issue, they are not that co-operative and that is only for a few of them. Most of them are nice. For faculties in the 1st year it was great. Their teaching, and how generous they were to the students was great except for the Chemistry teacher with a very bad personality and short temper which i found is very bad at teaching and for the putting internal marks. Around 55% failed in chemistry which is not surprising. When it comes to the 2nd year, the faculties are very busy and they come and teach and go, and nothing else, whether we understood or not. The fact that most of the students dont ask doubts because they are not confident to do so with 60 other studenta watching them.

Placement Experience:

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.
