The institution academic building has an old infrastructure. The new advanced academic building is still under construction and will be completed in 6 months. Hostels are one of the best parts. You would live some of your best moments of life here.

The course curriculum of the institute is based on the latest curriculum as provided by A.I.C.T.E. The course deals with the core engineering concepts for the all-round development of the student. Lab practicals are also conducted for the technical development of the student. Exam pattern Mid sem 30 marks paper for 2 hours End sem 50 marks paper for 3 hours 20 marks for surprise quizzes and home assignments.

Nit Jamshedpur has very good placements. Computer Science Engineering boasts of over 95 percent placements. Branches like EEE, ECE, MECHANICAL, PRODUCTION have placements over 90 percent. Civil engineering has placements around 75 percent. Metallurgy has placements around 85 percent. College provides for internship opportunities at the beginning of the 5th semester.

The fee structure is as follows Autumn semester 88000 Institution fees(62500 for tuition fees 15000 for hostel and remaining for miscellaneous fees) 16500 for mess advance Spring semester same as an autumn semester

Fee remission is provided by the institution. Students with annual family income less than 1 lakh will receive full fee remission of 62500 per semester Students with annual family income between 1 lakh and 5 lakh will receive two-third fee remission. Education loan facility can be availed by the students as there are different bank to sanction the loan.

There is a large number of sports facilities available. One can paly Cricket Football Badminton Hockey Tennis Volleyball Table Tennis Basket Ball and Athletics. There are quizzing clubs such as Quinte and Lds (literary and debating society). Extracurricular activities will keep one busy.

NIT Jamshedpur has large alumni network . The current CEO of MasterCard, tata steel vibrant academy are alumni of NIT Jamshedpur. The alumni meet is conducted every year. Senior students are very helpful cooperative and interactive. Raging is not prevalent in the institute.

One needs to qualify JEE MAIN with a decent rank. Then you need to apply online for counseling procedure through Josaa for seat allocation. Once the seat is allocated you need to physically report to the nearest Josaa center for documents verification. After the completion of the counseling, one needs to report physically to the institution for the final admission process.

The college has a large number of highly knowledgeable and experienced faculties. The faculties are highly qualified and possess P.hd. in their respective fields. They are very helpful and interactive. New professors are also hired as per the need.
