Of course it is a tough course are we have to finally deal with live people We have 4 exams per year 2 terms then send ups and finals (university exams) Exams are difficult are with no holidays in between

Internship is of 1 year And stipend is 17000 per month Every one gets internship opportunities Most things are learnt during it and it is in the same hospital IGMC We have night duties, duties in phc and in every department of hospital

In first year our fee is 60000 then for next 3 year it is 50000 Hostel fee is 24200 with 3000 security but mess bills are separate Earlier placement were high but now jobs are less We only get internship

The only disadvantage of this college is no campus It's just a old building not many LTs and free area As we are in shimla and shortage of land The fest od this college is Stimulus Held every year for 3 days best fest of hp

It's the top college in Himachal Pradesh Other colleges are Tanda nerchwok Cutoff for shimla in 2022 was 598 But in 2024 its 657 I applied to some aiims but didn't get due to high cutoff Admission process is by atal university nerchowk

Faculty is good and professional Faculty to student ratio is nice Some of our teachers are very good in way of their teaching In practicals we are divided into small groups of 5-6 students having 1-2 teacher per group We can discuss our queries with them

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is some course I don't think I've to define, it's low-key a noble profession and worth the hardwork you'll be doing throughout past few years of NEET-ug preparation and 4.5 years of MBBS. And superiority complex among yo relatives, hahaha????

Course Curriculum Overview:

Its MBBS dude . Respected profession and lots of money. The curriculum is good very much emphasis on theoratical knowledge along with good amount of clinical hours for skill development. Improvements would be to lower the load on final prof. As too many subjects. Frequency of exams is 1 formative weekly and 3 terms at 3 months gap . One final examination yearly. They vary in difficulty.

Course Curriculum Overview:

my cousins did their mbbs from this college and further my father's friends also refered this college. As i am doing mbbs therefore our college give us different scenario during our AETCOM ( attitude ethics and communication ) in which they ask us to perform a drama on the scenario and if we make any mistake during the performance they correct us and tell us what could have been the corect way. Our textbook also have different case studies on basic ethics. Our college conducts test every saturday for all the subjects that we have to appear in that year. Our college conducts 1st term , 2nd term and sent up examination. According to new NMC curriculum we are required to atleast score 50% in internal assessment. Then there are final examination after every year on the basis of which we are promoted to the next year.

About college

Remarks:

Well the faculty is great and they are some of the best in entire state. But some buildings are old and need to be renovated. A new complex is under construction and hope to be operationalise by the end of the year.

I applied for pgimer chandigarh where i was seleted. I choose igmc over the pgimer because of better climate of himachal pradesh.
