Remarks

Well the faculty is great and they are some of the best in entire state. But some buildings are old and need to be renovated. A new complex is under construction and hope to be operationalise by the end of the year.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course is of 5 and a half year. The exams are held annually. There are many different subjects that are required by one to become a doctor. In final examination each subject has 2 papers A and B and there is one practical. One has to pass in both of them separately and the passing mark is 50%.

Placement Experience

5

There is an assured government job. In India there is already shortage of doctors so there is no problem with job. My college also provides internship for 1 year. I am not an intern yet so i dont have experience but that should be great and the stipend is 18,000 rs.

College Events

3.5

1. Freshers- 1st event in the college when new student come. 2. Stimulus- its an annual fest of our college and is celebrated enthusiastically. It is of 5 days and have different programs like cultural night, star night and battle of bands etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's a govt college so the fee is feasible. Tuition fee is 60,000rs for 1st year and 50,000rs for the rest of the course. So there is no worry about the money as one can easily get education loan and can repay that after the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is one scholarship for the first 3 toppers of every batch, but that's not big. I don't think there are any other. I have not availed any scholarship. There is no loan facility available in this college.

Campus Life

3.5

There is not much of extra curricular activities. The labs are good but old as this is the oldest medical college of Himachal Pradesh. There are many sports like badminton, table tennis, football, cricket, basketball.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Yes, I have hostel and it is great. There are separate room for each student and that is great. There is no problem of water and electricity. They are available 24 *7. The rooms are old but it is well maintained.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is great. Our college alumni has some of the best doctors in north india. The director of AIIMS Delhi and PGI Chandigarh are our college alumni. The senior students are helpful. They are true mentors for the new students in this college. They help in virtually everything from academics to the sports.

Admission

There is a national level entrance test called NEET and after the result each state makes their own merit list and then there is counselling in which the students select their college preferences and then the colleges are allotted after we submit the required documents.

Faculty

4

The faculty is great. There is a HOD and there are associate and assistant professors and there are senior residents, junior residents. There is no shortage of faculty. All faculties are professional and the teaching is mostly practical.

MBBS is some course I don't think I've to define, it's low-key a noble profession and worth the hardwork you'll be doing throughout past few years of NEET-ug preparation and 4.5 years of MBBS. And superiority complex among yo relatives, hahaha????

Course Curriculum Overview:

Its MBBS dude . Respected profession and lots of money. The curriculum is good very much emphasis on theoratical knowledge along with good amount of clinical hours for skill development. Improvements would be to lower the load on final prof. As too many subjects. Frequency of exams is 1 formative weekly and 3 terms at 3 months gap . One final examination yearly. They vary in difficulty.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Mbbs in itself is vast curriculum but it's interesting at the same time. We get to learn more about our body in first year through anatomy physiology and biochemistry. From second year onwards the preclinical subjects are more interesting one also the clinical postings make the cause much fun u got to see many patients and apply the bookish knowledge on the patients. Exams in mbbs are held from time to time which keep us going through the course very easily.
