Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) Shimla offers a total of 120 MBBS seats for the 2025–26 academic session. These seats are distributed as follows: 18 seats under the All India Quota (15%), and 102 seats under the Himachal Pradesh State Quota. The admission process is based on the NEET UG 2025 examination, with counseling conducted by the Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) and the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC). Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria and participate in the counseling process to secure admission.
IGMC Shimla does not offer "direct admission" for most courses. MBBS seats are filled through the NEET-UG exam and subsequent counselling. For B.Sc. paramedical courses, there are “direct candidate” seats in some disciplines. But even for those, eligibility (10+2 with science) and merit are required.
