Course Curriculum Overview

5

my cousins did their mbbs from this college and further my father's friends also refered this college. As i am doing mbbs therefore our college give us different scenario during our AETCOM ( attitude ethics and communication ) in which they ask us to perform a drama on the scenario and if we make any mistake during the performance they correct us and tell us what could have been the corect way. Our textbook also have different case studies on basic ethics. Our college conducts test every saturday for all the subjects that we have to appear in that year. Our college conducts 1st term , 2nd term and sent up examination. According to new NMC curriculum we are required to atleast score 50% in internal assessment. Then there are final examination after every year on the basis of which we are promoted to the next year.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

We appear for internship in 5th year after completing and passing the final exams for the span of 4 and half year. The internship is divided into months. We are appointed as an interns in different departments like gynae and obs, pedeatrics, medicine , community medicine, ENT, surgery, radiology, optha, biochemistry, microbiology, pathology, pharma. We are being paid stiphen of 12000 per month during our internship. The money will be deducted according to the days we miss our internship. During internship we have a face to face interaction with the patients. Through this we can have proper clinical exposure and can learn the most difficult thing in the history of medical science i.e. HISTORY TAKING OF A PATIENT.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are two types of seats in our college, one goverment and the other one is management seat. The goverment seat is around 57 lakhs including the hostel expenses and the management seat id around 1 crore including hostel expenses. These expenses also include security fee which will be refunded after the completion of the course. Our college provide internship in final year with 12000 per month as a stiphen. usually there is no scholarship provided by our college in mbbs. I have no idea about the scholarship provided by our college in other courses.

Campus Life

4

Our campus life is good. We get free after 4:30pm and then we are allowed to roam around the campus or go for an outing too. The campus is well guarded by the security and proper boundaries. Our campus has a shopping complex which have a restaraunt, shopping complex, grocery market, salon and gym. It also has a common mess where we usually have our lunch. Medolympics is conducted every year for 15 days in which different batches participate and compete against eachother. It involves following games like cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, ludo, carrom, gym sports, chess, table tennis, badminton and some additional sports for teachers only. We can cheer up our batches and participate as well. Many conferences are conducted in our college and students who participate in conducting those conferences are gives certificates which will help them to improve their CV. Then we have bhangra cult that represents our college in other college fest .

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel facilities are average. There are 2 hostels for girls and 2 hostels for boys. Every hostel has its own mess. We are provided with breakfast, dinner and evening tea or milk everyday. The lunch are usually provided on sundays or on holidays. We usually go for lunch in common mess in the complex. In summers we have to faced water shortage issues but usually we are given holidays during that time or till the problem is resolved. The food is quite average. The rooms are double accomodation. 2 seperate beds are provided along with seperate table and chair. There is attached bathroom with every room. A attached almirah is provided in every room, the almirah is divided into two seperate almirah. In winters we use electric rods for heating our water for bathing. We can have an electric kettle but no other electric appliance is allowed.

Admission

I took the medical entrance exams NEET in 2022 in which i secured 477 out of 720 and a rank around 1 lakhs. I got government quota seat as i was a domiciled resident of himachal pradesh. Only domiciled resident of himachal pradesh can get the government quota seat. Students of different states can get admission through management quota. You can only get seat through NEET examination. After securing a rank in exams you have to register yourself on atal medical research institute website and then the candidate will be given the seat according to their ranks. For admission you require these documents: NEET score card, aadhaar card, birth certificate, 12 marksheet, character certificate, 10 marksheet, and domicile of himachal pradesh in case you are applying for government seat. If your father is a central government employe then you require a letter from your father's department to provr that he is a central government employe. Most important thing for admission is MONEY

Faculty

4.5

every department has a seperste floor in the building. Ech department has teachers who are designated to different positions like head of the department, professor, associate professor, assistant professor and demonstrators. Every department has practical lab in which post graduates of that department guide us to how to perform a practiclal. The teachers use the digital boards that are provided in every classroom. For diagramatic representation the teachers use the blackboards. for clinical approach the teachers show us some of the symptomatic pictures related to that case. Every teacher is available during college hours for doubt solving and if required they share their personal notes with us for brtter understanding.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Mbbs in itself is vast curriculum but it's interesting at the same time. We get to learn more about our body in first year through anatomy physiology and biochemistry. From second year onwards the preclinical subjects are more interesting one also the clinical postings make the cause much fun u got to see many patients and apply the bookish knowledge on the patients. Exams in mbbs are held from time to time which keep us going through the course very easily.
