Campus Life is good but campus is too small.

Dislikes

There is no too much coding atmosphere in our college and placement are also not good enough

Course Curriculum Overview

Based on the branch, our course is well structured but there are some subjects which are irrelevant and not required for IT domain. Overall course structure is well defined in terms of our curriculum. Some subjects in IT is different from cse

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 800000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly tution fees is around 120000 for general category students. It is very less as compared to other colleges . For ther categories it's ranges from 30k to 50k. Our college also offer various scholarships schemes based on merit.

Campus Life

Our campus is very small as compared to other colleges. Overall college life is good. There is no coding atmosphere and not much competition in our college. There are variety of sports activities in our college which are held every month

Admission

This college is not my first choice. On the basis of jee examination, I get this college. My first preference was NIT Jalandhar but my jee exam score was not good enough to secure a seat there so I choose this college

Faculty

Professor are highly qualified. Moreover they help students when they face difficulty in studies. One of the best maths teacher is dr. Jagjit singh. His way of teaching is highly professional. He taught each and every maths concept with clarity and consciousness. Another one is dr. Harvinder sir which is also great a great professor of professional communication.His way of teaching keeps students interactive in class. Teachers are not very strict and sometimes students take advantage of them by bunking many classes

PEC CHANDIGARH GUIDE AND REVIEW

Placement Experience:

- from sixth semester, some seniors have received the PPOs - companies like apple,bmw,mahindra,paytm, hire -%placement is not that good, its 55-60% for mechanical and 85-90% for CSE -highest is 60-65lpa as latest and average is 12-13lpa -plans are getting a placement , if not, i will do mtech from abroad

Placement Experience:

Placement are provided by the college and Good offers are made by the companies. Like in cse , ece and ee have good placements but in lower branch percentage placements is a bit lower, but overall average and median package is good ( 70%) Highest placement was 61 lpa of 2025 median was 13 lpa.

Punjab Engineering College through an Unfiltered lens .

Placement Experience:

placement stats of my college is great. Better than most of the colleges out there . Even better than many NITs and IIITs , with an avg package of 14-16 LPA . And every year the Median and Avg package is increasing . Highest package till now - 83 LPA . Students are allowed for campus placements after 5th semister All the big companies out there , from Google , microsoft , amazon to Delloete , JP Morgan , AmericanExpress , to seimens, oracle , L&T , all companies come here . around 70-75% students gets placed from here My plan is to get the highest paying job offer possible for me , that's it .

PEC is great choice

Placement Experience:

placements from rti report placement percentage is over 75 + and in ee its 74 percent cse 93 and ece 84 percent avg for cse is 18 lakhs and ece is 16 lakhs ee its 14 lakh and other branches have 8 10 lakh avg but the placemnt percentage in mechncial is 70 percent other branches like civil production have a little less percentage of placements but they have opportunities in college

PEC life in a nutshell

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am in first year and first year is same for all branches, so I don't know a lot about electrical engineering specifically. But of what I have heard from seniors, electrical branch is more difficult, and in pec u get not that many core companies. While u get a lot of finance, IT, coding etc companies.

Placement Experience:

Yes,very good college placements are available in our college.Students of 8 semester that is 4th year students are eligible for campus placement Companies such as TCS,wipro,amex,gemini solutions and etc many more companies are there for placement 60-80% students got placed in the companies with an average package of 8 lakhs and with a highest package of 35 lakhs Iam oriented towards govt jobs and in future if I will be interested in coding sector I will do preparation for off campus and specifically for Rubrik

Placement Experience:

Placement do occur in the college. It's average package is around 7.5, lakh. Since I am the first year right now, I don't have data to support the placement record, but some of my seniors of fourth year are getting placed. One of my IT senior got placed for 14 LPA and other other, my Cse senior got placed for around 12 LPA. so opportunities are there for those who want to do something

One can get admission in UIET, CHD by applying for JAC CHANDIGARH counselling. One has to give JEE mains exam and based on its score, JAC Chandigarh conducts counselling through which admissions process occurs. I applied for YMCA Faridabad and DCRUST Murthal as well. I also applied for JOSAA counselling but due to my low rank in JEE mains, I couldn't get any NIT or IIIT. I was getting YMCA or DCRUST but choose UIET over them, because of its location. It is situated in main Chandigarh and very near to my home. Moreover, it's placements are better than both of them....Read More
